N.M. OT Haggerty to Notre Dame
http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73&p=8&c=1&nid=4541722
ND gets another commit from a UM offered OT. 4-star from New Mexico.
ND's class looks strong early: http://notredame.scout.com/a.z?s=109&p=9&c=8&yr=2011.
That's four 4-star OL (2 with UM offers). Good news - less space for Zettel in South Bend

He is a great pickup, great football player and definitely a ND kid

that he looks like an emu?
April 29th, 2010 at 11:40 PM ^
no
more like......he doesn't have any felony arrests.......
=)
randy moss wasn't originally slated to attend ND?
Does that mean he's the type that gets wasted and falls off a balcony?
What? Too soon?
WOW! +1 to you good sir for having more balls than I.
Not Cool.
Really is that a joke, are you laughing at that? Do you think you were really clever for poking fun at a 17 year old kid who died falling off a balcony. Did you know his parents got to bury him on his 18th birthday? You should try and work that in there too some how.
I don't know if it is more pathetic that you actually posted this bullshit or that people actually up-voted it. UM wasn't born with the sc prefix but this is how you earned it.
Now I can be nice or quite mean in regards to UM, it all depends on how you respond to my posts. Its your choice, you stay classy and so will I, but if this is the trajectory of the board I have no problem following it down in a blaze of glory.
So let me get this straight. It's okay for you to make fun of our recruit who made some poor choices in his past, but we're not allowed to talk about your recruit because his poor choices unfortunately lead to his death. To be quite honest with you, I wasn't laughing at what I wrote. I was actually a little annoyed that you would come around here and make fun of our recruit's criminal history. I wanted point out to you and the rest of the holier-than-thou Notre Dame nation that, as much as you'd like to think otherwise, your players aren't perfect either. Get off your high horse.
Actually No not at all correct. You should read my sig, it should help you comprehend my posts a bit better.
Oh sorry. I guess adding =) to a post makes it okay. Well i meant to add a =) in my original post right after I wrote "Too soon?"
My mistake. Next time I'll remember the =) in my original post. Glad we're on the same page now Irish.
I feel like I am sitting at the kiddie table when I respond to you, waste of my time
I would consider ever commenting on a web site of a team that I have no rooting interest in a waste of my time. To each his own I guess.
Not cool Freekbass.

Do you know the name of the coach that recruited Haggerty? I picked my wife up at the airport in Albuquerque Sunday night and she asked me if I knew who the new ND coach was. There was an ND coach on her flight from Midway to ABQ and she heard him talking about a well rounded student he was there to recruit. When we were waiting by the baggage carousel, a guy decked out in Notre Dame gear that I didn't recognize showed up (I wouldn't recognize any ND coach besides Kelly). When an ND duffle bag came around, I tried to check the name, but all I could see was a first name of William, and that doesn't match anyone on the Notre Dame coaches list.

I believe it was Alford I will have to look though
EDIT: I was wrong it was Kerry Cooks and Ed Warriner. Warriner is his position coach, and Cooks is the regional recruiter. Maybe you saw Warriner instead of William?

For some reason Alford was the only person on that coaches list with a picture by his bio (even Kelly didn't have one). And that let's me know he was definitely not the guy we saw in the airport, that coach was white.

Guessing it was probably Warriner then, at the bottom

Yup that's him. Maybe I need to get my eyes checked.

I can understand that you were probably overwhelmed with emotion from seeing a ND coach there in front of you, its not that uncommon.
=)

Alot of good it did this ND kid.

With a name like Haggerty you have to expect Notre Dame to win that one.
April 30th, 2010 at 12:43 AM ^
Hegarty is indeed a name like Haggerty.

It's nice when the Fighting Irish have someone with a name that actually sounds Irish.
Chet in Turd form could be the coach of Notre Dame and kids will still want to play for NOTRE DAME because it's NOTRE DAME.
Fast fact #1: Number of 10+ win seasons at ND since 1994: 2
Fast fact #2: Number of losing seasons at ND since 1994: 4
Fast fact#3: Number of bowl wins at ND since 1994: 1
Given the three facts above, can anyone (besides Irish) explain to me why elite kids still have any interest in ND? Anyone? Seriously, the kids ND is recruiting right now were still pooping in their diapers the last time ND was relevant on the CFB landscape.
Boston College has just as many 10+ win seasons, the same number of losing seasons in that timespan and has won several bowl games. In other words, BC's football resume' is better than ND's in the last 15 years. So why is BC not the preferred destination for Catholic school kids threatened with excommunication if they don't go to a Catholic university?

Unfortunately impressive
The Hell with Notre Dame

More reasons the B10 should NOT be kissing ND's ass to join the B10. Let them be independent!
This is good for our chances with Zettel. ND has almost too many OL for this class (yes, I know, one can never have too many OL in a single class).
was never the competition for zettel. if there's competition for him, the enemy wears green and white.
Marshall hasn't had any top players since Leftwich.

Show him this.
