Have you had any issues with DirectTV? I've always been skeptical about having a dish (weather issues, losing signal, ect.), but they are offering really cheap deals and AT&T continually presses me to switch over.

I am currently using Vue, and it's ok, but I'm not sure I can't do it more hassle-free with DirectTV if if is reliable.

I burst my pimples at you, you sniveling wiper of other people's bottoms! Thpppt!

You should have typed a colon after "PS", and the correct abbreviation for month is "mo".

There - feel better?

Anyone know if I setup a Chromecast to my mother's TV will she be able to change channels with her TV's standard remote or will she always have to use her iPhone?

She's not tech savvy, so forced to use her iPhone to scroll channels is a non-starter.

PS Vue raising prices is a bummer. They gave me three more months at old rate, but still. Starting to get close to cable.

stand alone internet is $50-60, this service is $35, you don't get as many channels, there's a data cap... and regular cable/internet bundle with no caps is still around $110-120...getting closer to being worthwhile...but not yet

My internet is $65 a month. I was paying $75 a month for dish with only one receiver. Now I pay $35 a month for vue. So I come out ahead $40 a month. And I can watch on all tvs in my house. We have even taken the tv out on the deck this summer. I paused my dish for 3 months to make sure I could live with vue. And so far I love it. One thing that I will miss is that I like to Dvr football and basketball games and start them after a half hour or so in order to skip commercials and you cannot do that with vue. But for almost $500 savings a year I can learn to live with it.

I called to cancel in May, they dropped me from $135 to $53/month. I had to sign a 12 month agreement, but my rate stays there until 12 months is up. I have 3 months of free Showtime channels too.....I was really getting ready to sign on the dotted line (over the phone) then the gal new I was for real and gave me that offer. I am on the third tier of DirecTV and get all the locals, all the sports channels I need as well and all the fruity Bravo and We TV the old lady likes, know what Im sayin?
