Izzo: "U-M's seniors have lost 4-5 times to us, and they played with incredible passion that we didn't match"

— Minh Doan (@_minhdoan) February 8, 2017

Izzo says he's not making excuses ... but, 'that was seniors against freshmen.'

— Nick Baumgardner (@nickbaumgardner) February 8, 2017

Irvin, the other senior, had a whopping 3 points. Bzzzt.

Izzo says his freshmen (Winston, Ward, Langford) didn't understand the seriousness of the game

— Minh Doan (@_minhdoan) February 8, 2017

Ward is from Columbus and Winston is from Detroit.

Izzo says MSU had a great week of practice, didn't show up on court.

BONUS FEATURE: Jemele Hill's tweets from after Michigan handed MSU a loss on the gridiron back in October.

Izzo really is a jealous little man.

A few years ago when I was outside shoveling snow I listened to the Tom Izzo radio show on my headset.  Michigan was currently in 1st place in the conference and win finish 1st place in the conference.  Izzo said there were 7 teams that could win the conference and he listed 7 teams and Michigan wasn't one of them and then made a comment about how inexperienced teams would fade down the stretch.

Another is that we've endured a stretch of five games without a win against the contemptible Tom Izzo and his Spartans, and just beat the ever-living shit out of them.  An absolute pantsing of your No. 1 basketball rival on national television is something to celebrate.

An 86-57 victory over any B1G MBB team is noteworthy.  Against your chief rival who's led by a whingy douchenozzle?  That's great.

"I'm not going to make excuses, but here's my excuse..."

You lost to a bunch of seniors?  One senior your fan base calls an "alien" and the other contributed 3 points.  Wagner and Robinson have played 2 years.  Wilson is a junior but only played 5 games as a freshman before injuring his knee.

Seriously, I'm so happy that shit bag will retire with this as his last game against Michigan.

She's a Sparty grad. She perfectly fits the Dantonio mold of a petty, spiteful human being who enjoys herself more when Michigan loses over when MSU wins. When Michigan loses, she has to make sure the whole world knows about it.

The twitter rants she goes on with other people are among the more unprofessional outbursts I've seen from someone who is supposed to be an unbiased commentator.

There were two trips on which the floor was slapped.  First one was Eron Harris, UM got a layup.  Second one 3 MSU players did it on one trip, as the poster above noted, UM hit a 3.  UM usually is quite efficient offensively when MSU slaps the floor, going back the last few years.

I don't know what the numbers bear out but I'd bet Michigan scores 75% of the time when MSU slaps the floor going back to the 2012-2013 season (when they did it a bunch in the "Burke steals the game" game).

I recall when John L. Smith was canned and Izzo actually thought

he could coach the football team. We are talking major college football.

Apparently he coached a little football in the U.P.

Enjoyed the loss he took in the NCAA Tourney last year and

last night was heaven.

Jack Harbaugh was at both the Indiana and MSU games.  We won both in blowouts.

Need him at all of the remaining regular-season games -- home and road.

Remember back just over 13 months ago, MSU fans were signing and dancing about being the best two sport (football and basketball) school in the country? Man, how quickly fortunes can and will change.

I almost feel like acknowledging her adds to the flame, but like a wildcat fire, the flame is bright for a relative instant, but once it's reconized for what it is, it gets snuffed out quickly.  She may be the only person with Staee background in a major "news" organization.

UM grads are staffed all over in traditional media outlets (TV, radio, print, movies and the internet) throughout the country in on-camera, by-line, directing, producing, writing and supportive rolls.   Her impact on us in minimal, don't waste any more productive blogspace on her.
