Baron Browning to Columbus

Seemed to have a great time on his visit, but didn't seem like a candidate to join the good guys. Here's hoping Herman flips him to Texas.....

That's great for them...but the coaches here know how to get more from less. I have faith in the coaching staff in Double A. Sometimes 5* recruits don't pan out.

Here's the thing...Michigan shouldn't have to do more with less. It should be right at the top every year. Harbaugh should pull in a few 5 stars every year. He does NOT have to settle for under the radar types. Michigan is back to elite status and the recruiting needs to reflect that.

in recruiting classes

2014 and 2015 classes are hurting this team at the moment

Ohio State didn't have that since they basically went from one good coach to another except for the 1 season placeholder they had

At this point not even finding a dead Hooker at Meyer's house would get him fired. Karma is never coming for OSU.

I also think we are being a bit down on UM's class for no good reason. I certainly expect this class to be top 4-6 and as long as you are hanging in that top 5ish every year odds are you have top 5 talent. As long as Michigan is in the mix in the top 5 I would not expect a talent gap.

Michigan may actually end up doing better at OLB recruiting than OSU this year.

Browing is the no. 2 OLB.

But Drew Singleton (very likely to commit to Michigan) is the no. 3 OLB prospect.   Plus Michigan may still get Jordan Anthony, the no. 6 OLB, and/or Willie Gay, the no. 8 OLB.

But here's what should freak you out:  Alabama has 4 of the top 7 OLB committed.

Not so.  We will be playing Alabama.  Possibly in a few weeks.  If not then, we will meet them in the playoffs, possibly more than once, in the next few years.

Alabama and OSU are in the playoff conversation every year.  From now on Michigan will be in the playoff picture every year too.  It will happen.  Michigan and Alabama will meet.

Might, or might not ,be this year.  Might, or might not, be next year.  But Michigan will likely play Alabama in the playoff before the current recruiting class plays out its eligibility.

They'll get that CB for their 7th 5 star, but what I am more concerned about is that will give them 12 of the top 60 recruits in thsi class, we currently have 1 of the top 60 with McCaffery at #53.  Some will bust, but some might be Heisman candidates.

With DPJ and Wilson we will have two 5 star kids, and I think we'll land a couple more top 60 kids.  SO when it's all said and done, we probably finish with 5 top 60 kids and 2 5 stars, OSU finishes with 7 5 star kids and 13 or 14 top 60.

That you have to have a 300+ response post to a OSU commit. Some of you need to get a fucking life or put your big boy boots on. Delete this stupid thread.

So let me get this straight. Since Michigan missed out on a 5 star recruit they are making the argument that they would rather have a team comprimised of 2 & 3 stars rather than 5? Hmm. Interesting logic.

Instead of bitching, moaning and crying about the hands that we were not dealt, the success comes when we are content with the dealt hand, gives our best and work with the enthusiasm unknownd to mankind.

Come on, even Alum96 who was just returned from a long hiatus, said it best. We have Harbaugh.
