I believe that the "fancy" Kirkland beer (in bottles) is brewed by Gordon Biersch. It is okay for the cost. I wouldn't call it a favorite but it is not offensively bad. The light beer is just cheap light beer. It's not good compared to other domestics junk but it is cheap. At cold enough temperatures it is drinkable but you don't really want to drink it.

palette...what are some good suggestions for some beer to pick up for Thanksgiving?

Note...not a fan of dark beer, so need something on the lighter side.  Think beer water, but better.

Go to the search area and enter your zip code (you live in a nice area of Illinois been over there a few times).  In the BRAND drop box (4th from the right) pick "3F Zombie" which stands for 3 Floyds Zombie Dust.  Zombie Dust is a beer that beer snobs on MGoBlog have fallen in love with.  Search enging will tell you where it's sold where you live.

Since Big Ben's departure, the attendances have really suffered as the team has steadily gone down the tubes.

This season certainly started off that way, but I KNEW they weren't horrible, the way they stood tough at Kinnick vs. Iowa for the first half -- hell, they scored more points than WE DID!

It's gonna take some time to regenerate interest. And I hate to say this, but it's true -- a lot of students at Miami would rather go to the bars on Saturday afternoons and watch Ohio State games on TV than be in attendance at Yager Stadium. That's just the way it is. Of course, for a Tuesday night game, there's really no excuse -- although yes, in this case, with the break, I do get why the attendance was down. But in general, it's been really, REALLY pathetic in the last 10 years.

Here's hoping that they cap off this season with a bowl win and a winning record, and continue to build off that success in 2017.
