Well when not in SoCal my neighborhood beer store here gets Ballast Point on Thursdays in limited quantity and is often sold out by Sunday. At the pool house in Encinitas it's on tap or we drive to the Stone Brewery and get kegs there, straight from the brewery.

Sculpin is dated on the bottle...I always look. If it's more than 30 days old I don't buy it. I used to love Stone as my indulgence beer, now that ballast point distributes to Colorado I buy sculpin instead.

Sculpin >>> Stone imo

Picked up a couple of these at Costco last weekend and polished them off over the past week. I agree, delicious. It's like they use the rind as a bittering agent rather than the juice as a sweetening agent/fermentable. I found this approach to be similar to that of Farmington's Blood Orange Pale Ale which I got exposed to earlier this year at Tony Sacco's. I believe that it is out of season now but if you are in Michigan, keep an eye out for it next year.

Has nothing to do with being a man. It has to do with taste. Whiskey taste like disgusting shit. I cannot believe any human actually likes the taste of it. I feel as if they drink it and pretend to like it to feel cool, but secretly hate it.
