Where will Michigan be ranked this week?

Where do you guys think Michigan will be ranked when the polls come out tomorrow? I'm going with 5 in the AP and 6 in the coaches but I could also see Houston jumping us.

Houston will probably jump us.  Their last two wins are pretty impressive.  If Ole Miss beats FSU, they'll probably jump us as well.

I'm good with that.  Anything that adds some motivation while playing heavy underdogs is a good thing.

Houston returned almost the full team that beat FSU and was ranked 15th. Oklahoma isnt going to make them (pollsters) admit they were 12 spots off. They shouldve been top 8 so maybe now they will get to 8...maybe. People tend to be blind on a teams ability because they dont play enough heavywieghts but if FSU Oklahoma back to back doesnt convince people there is nothing left on their schedule that will do the trick.

Only thing that matters is that we keep winning.  Rankings will take care of themselves if we take care of business.  Beat Iowa, msu and suckeyes.  That's the mission.  That's what matters.  Hope we can get healthy and stay healthy.  Already a lot of injuries in the B1G.

I really hate preseason polls. I wish they would not do any rankings until at least 4 weeks have gone by.

Why are a lot of people writing off the MSU and Iowa games as W's?

MSU could lose every game leading up to our trip to East Lansing and I'd still be unsure we win that game. MSU typically plays its best game of the season when they play us. And at Iowa, at night, in November, is going to be a really tough out.

If FSU loses, here are the facts:

Michigan is currently ranked 7, and won impressively, beating the spread by 3 touchdowns.

The 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 10th ranked teams lost. 8 and 9 won, but unimpressively against inferior competition.

Number 11 Ole Miss beats number 4 FSU, but do they move all the way to number 4? Not likely.

So Michigan moves to 4, OSU moves to 3.

Does a 1 loss OSU still get into the playoff?

:)

Ole Miss is imploding, as we blog. My guess is MICHIGAN lands at #5, if that continues (FSU currently leads 36-28). Maybe we slide in at #4 if Ole Miss turns it around or the pollsters realize an FSU win is due more to the collapse than FSU's superiority. At this point though, all I really care about is MICHIGAN wins and everybody else beats the shit out of each other. TCB GO BLUE!

This isnt what I think it should be but what I think the AP poll will be because it's stupid and based on speculations preseason that they fail to adequately calibrate: 1. Bama 2. FSU 3. Clemson 4. Ohio State 5. Houston 6. Michigan 7. Oklahoma 8. Stanford 9. LSU 10. MSU 11. Washington 12. Tennessee 13. TCU 14. Notre Dame 15. Georgia 16. Ole Miss 17. Iowa 18. Louisville 19. Wisconsin 20. Oklahoma State 21. UCLA 22. Texas 23. Texas A&M 24. Baylor 25. Oregon Also receiving votes: Florida, USC, Furman
