Stats put Beilein 308 of 321 on Kenpoms list. Put another way, if I'm reading this correctly, he's the 13th most conservative coach out of 321 when it comes to letting his guys play with fouls.

Interesting, thanks for posting.

Would love to see a post that details effect on winning percentage of removing starters with 2 fouls. It would have to be correlated to the importance of the player, etc.. Seth to the rescue?

I'm not a fan of rigid adherence, but I suspect one reason behind the autobench policy is to discourage players from picking up that 2nd foul in the 1st half.  I'm not sure how you'd analyze the indirect effect autobench has on discouraging fouls. 

Even a static analysis would seem to be very difficult, but then again, I'm not a statistician.
