The War on Rutgers plot thickens

This is going to shock you but Rutgers has gone back on their outrage over other teams that can easily pluck talent away from them coming and doing camps.

Rutgers has since decided to become an OSU puppet state and is teaming with them and Temple--another team who can actually beat PSU--on a satellite camp.

Rutgers mouthpieces on twitter are claiming this to be a RETURN SHOT OF FIRE!!1 since it is on the same day as our camp at PC.

Durkin is actually getting commits from top talent to Maryland (seriously) while Ash is already running back to mama for help. I just thought I'd throw that out there.

I thought I lost all virtual admireres with my 'no country for old men' blasphemy. Spoiler alert- my name's not actually Mabel and I'm not a 12 year old cartoon character. But I am still not at all interested in stupid Rutgers.

Rutgers is like that itch on your balls when you're somewhere in public. It's embarrassing but you have to take care of it. And if you didn't shave you could have avoided it entirely.

Rutgers is an embarrassment period.

It digusts me to see them with the B1G logo on every piece of gear their fans wear and how they brag about it and are so excited to be in a league that they think gives them some validation.

Look at their F- facilities. This is their softball "stadium"-

And their "press box"

Compare that to this-

We're really going to get in a pissing match about softball facilities, comparing a program that's been a juggernaut for a couple decades against a program that, well, isn't?

Michigan is the exception. Not the rule. Yeesh.

Rutgers sucks and all, but really.

Why don't you research the other 12 B1G stadiums?

That one is far and away the worst among any Power 5 school. Beyond a shadow of a doubt.

They play their volleyball in a Waterman Gymnasium-type building. Their baseball stadium is just slightly better than their softball field.

Michigan softball program and its success under Hutch, nor a program donor like Fred Wilpon, owner of the Mets, either.

But I agree the school could do better than offer a second-rate field now that it has joined a first class league to compete in. I've seen high schools and Division II programs with better facilities for their programs.

Here's another one, troll-

Rutgers was celebrating and talking trash at halftime last year: down 19 points.

Harbaugh then went for two up 41-16 and Rutgers didn't do anything about it.

Keep living off a game from two years ago where you still nearly farted away a game against a 5-7 Hoke team.

I love the idea that any of this is something to lose sleep/get worked up over.  Harbaugh's working hard & getting recruits, Urban is working hard & getting recruits, and Rutgers is trying to ride some coat-tails.  All makes perfect sense for where each program is in the hierarchy.  Such fake, contrived "drama".

PS - Love the inclusion of Hutch & the softball team in the War on Rutgers.  They just delivered a firebombing campaign on the Scarlet Knights over the weekend!

"Michigan better not come in here and break down the garden's fence!"

"Oh wait, OSU is their main rival?"

"Come take who you want Urban. Just leave us a couple of two stars..."

That'll teach us!

i never knew the rutgers fan base had such a hard on for michigan. their message boards are looking just like penn states now. when all else fails they call harbaugh creepy, slimy, or just down right perverted. why would you use personal attacks on another coach when nobody even cares about rutgers.

strange to that they are so in love with a coach that came from osu, a school that they talked about in worse terms then michigan last year.

Amazing how a 3 line instant message can turn into a extrapolated & manufactured discussion topic.

Football cannot get here fast enough!

This story further highlights why Michigan fans should be rooting for Maryland & Durkin to succeed, and Rutgers & Ash to fail. Maryland could be an important ally for Michigan in the conference while Ash is now setting up his program to strengthen ties to OSU. Maybe it could even become a proxy war for Michigan-OSU.

Rutgers?  Come on, where's the threat?  Seriously.  I don't think we have anything to worry about.  They're fighting with whippy sticks.  We've got machine guns.
