is not a very good free throw shooter. I've noticed it a lot this year. Novak and Douglass aren't great either. Needs to be addressed in the offseason.

What a great team-wide performance. Best of the season? It's this or UConn, I'd think. Cool to win two straight at the barn. That place used to be a house of horrors for us.

I agree; watching Morris play the point was probably the highlight of the game for me. He looks to create, not to force things like Manny does sometimes. He's finally morphing into the player we thought he'd be, and hopefully will be in the future. Harris and Sims played really well; Harris giving it up to Sims who was ruthlessly efficient in the second half. Excellent play by those two. Good defense, the game was closer than it should have been (ticky-tack fouls and poor foul shooting) and I think it might have been the best performance of the year considering how poorly Michigan had been playing before tonight.

Was absolutely terrible. Knight had a very good point about the fact it seemed to not be going both ways. Lots of very ticky-tack fouls against us. It was very nice to see a well played game for once. When Sims and Manny are going like that its hard for anyone to beat us.

When we got a couple of charging calls our way early in the half, I was worried for the make-up calls. Even so, I didn't expect the slew of them that followed. At the end when Musberger asked Knight about consistency, Knight looked confused for a moment, and I thought he might go after the officials. As well as Manny and Deshawn played, I loved seeing Douglass make some key defensive plays and was extremely impressed with how well Morris handled the defensive pressure over the course of the game.

After watching PU and MSU last night, I really felt Michigan just didn't have the speed of the upper third of the Big Ten. But the second half of tonight's game showed that we have both plays and players. We all know we haven't been executing well throughout the season, but tonight's game against a decent Minn team was a quality win for me. It showed good guard play, good pace and ball handling, good shot selection, good assist and extra passes, good help-D, and ultimately confidence in your fellow teammate. From the couch, it felt as if the team believed they didn't have to do everything individually but instead rely on the collective to achieve the "W". Nicely done and Go Blue!

a new way to watch michigan basketball... dvr the game, keep up with the score, watch it in the morning... makes the night a little bit less stressful... and they have won every time i have done it...

The Associated Press's supposed factual account of the game (http://espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=300420135) includes: "Michigan...used that confusing, smothering 1-3-1 zone defense to send the Gophers (5-6, 14-9) to a costly defeat." Nice, only we played the 1-3-1 on maybe two or three possessions in this game. From rivals (http://michigan.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1051332): " 'We played 100 percent man to man [until the last couple of possessions]. I don't know if we've done that in a long time,' said head coach John Beilein." Um, Journalism 101 states that if you don't know the facts, try to find them out but don't use unsubstantiated claims, most especially your own.

...is simply going with what's working, both in-game and as evidence from the entirety of the season suggests. He does the same with offense, but little is working there. It seems obvious, but coach can only do so much; the players simply have to be able to put the ball through the hoop. When you shoot around 40%, it doesn't matter what your offensive sets are.
