New football offer: CA DE Deonte "D.J." Johnson
Michigan offered a 6'5", 240 lb. defensive end from California named D.J. Johnson.
Here are his highlights (which I'll also embed below):

If you like good football, watch the first two plays of his highlights.
Play #1: He runs 60+ yards to save a touchdown, tracking down a wideout.
Play #2: He chases down a QB from the backside and gets a strip-sack near the opposite sideline.

Rookie question:
What is the reason the videos are always embedded as replies to the post? Can you not embed in a main post?

Embeds in the main post never seem to work. I'm not sure why. I stopped trying a while ago, so now I just put any videos in the comments section.

You left out the most important piece of info... his nickname is FREAK NASTY.

On this we can all agree.

I share that nickname and it's more a burden than a boon.

If you looked up "Harbaugh Player" in the dictionary, decent chance you'd find this video.

If you offer, they will come.

He's a NorCal kid so decent chance he's a Niners fan and thus a fan of Harbaugh. Question is if distance is a factor.

I looked, but there's not a ton of information out there about his favorites and such. Usually it takes a couple days for Michigan people to get ahold of prospects and interview them after offers, so we'll probably know more soon.

Johnson let me know this offer is "really big" for his recruitment and the staff is targeting him as a hybrid DE/OLB

I am hearing he has already produced a hype video featuring Johnson, but he can't release it because Al Gore asked him to stop breaking the Internet.

What about #67 standing on the sidelines at 00:25? Can we make it a package deal?
February 18th, 2016 at 11:26 AM ^
He's being recruited as a punter.

We are probably never going to lose another game with Harbaugh as coach. I just cannot see it happening.

What number recruiting classs do you think Michigan will have in 2017. (I say #3)

Yeah, I'm totally immune to snark. I'm everyone's favorite poster.

Thanks. I don't see myself as grouchy. I'm just straight-forward and don't believe in a lot of fluff. People interpret that as grouchiness, and I don't really care because it's the internet.
FWIW, I don't think every new offer is post-worthy, but Johnson's film is fun to watch just because of the effort level. You see guys who are big, fast, can jump, are strong, etc., but it's not very often that star players hustle like Johnson does.

Love how he takes time to rip the ball out, find it, grab it, and start running the other way.
Hope he brings his game and his very appropriate moniker to Michigan.

and I am sure Missi State is all over him. It will be interesting to see how serious he is about Michigan. Btw, the latest recruit to sign with Michigan, Noro Virus, is just killing it on campus.
