Or it could be labeled "OT." Or it could be explained in the OP why this is significant (if it is).

I clicked on the thread because without an "OT" designation, I assumed that it had something to do with Michigan, a former Michigan player, etc. It doesn't.

Bad title. Bad post. Unrelated to the blog in general. That is why I don't care.

I'll give you the OT bit.

As for the rest, bullshit.

You know enough about Michigan football and sports in general to know enough context to realize the post was OT without the marker. You clicked and commented to be snarky, which happens in every soccer thread and fair enough, but don't try to dress it up as any sort of confusion on your part.

"As for the rest bullshit, you know enough about Michigan football and sports in general to know enough context in this."

That is a huge and erroneous presumption on your part. I have no idea what colors these teams are, who plays on these teams, what league they're in, etc. I don't give a s*** about European soccer.

If it were "OT" I wouldn't have clicked. Other "OT" threads that I didn't bother to click are the ones about Johnny Manziel and Pat Haden.

Simplest solution? Type two extra letters before the title of the thread. That's my point.

I have. My point is that I don't even click on all OT threads that are mildly relevant to American football (Johnny Manziel, Pat Haden, etc.). Why? Because the "OT" designation is a clear indicator that it has nothing to do with Michigan.

So if this one were labeled "OT," I wouldn't have clicked. And this conversation wouldn't be occurring. But it wasn't, and it is.

There a degree of difference.  Blau, in my opinion wrote out why the original post was problematic and gave some nods as to why the topic had some merit.

Big difference between that and the other messaging that started the "discussion",  but hey it's all good.  Trophies for everyone!

...you, who are extremely knowledgeable about M football, were confused that Leicester and Manchester City might have something to do with M football?

I find that highly doubtful, but even so......roughly a fraction of a second into reading the post you had to have realized it has nothing to do with M and were thus forced to strain at your mouse, move it all the way up to the back arrow button in your browser and possibly a full second later would find yourself back on the main page. Total elapsed time.......possibly 2 seconds out of your busy, busy day.

You "could" take a few more precious seconds and politely point out to the OP that they should follow board etiquette and place an "OT" in the title and go on your way. A gentlemenly approach.

Instead, you feel the need to take even more of your valuable time and post your "***king" opinion on the topic of the post, without realizing that it is not the least bit important to any of us that ARE interested. There are a lot of people here to that DO like to share information on soccer, it is a community-oriented board, not yours.

Your opinion and pissy manner in the back and forth here cost you at least 10x the oh so valuable time that the lack of the two letters OT cost you, so it is hard for me to believe that you actually value it so dearly. Were it that important, you simply wouldn't waste so much of it astride a high horse, jousting windmills in a Quixotic attempt at saving the board from the faux-scourge of potentially misleading post titles.

If the betterment of the board is really your goal, then a simple "post needs and OT in the title" and then moving on is a far more productive approach, no? Would ave saved you hundreds of seconds.

The Liverpool vs Sunderland match has been pretty interesting.  Sunderland was dead in the water, and have come back to tie it at 2 with stoppage time left.

Imagine someone posting a thread I don't LIKE and me commenting on that thread: "I refuse to comment on this thread..." If all these people actually didn't care they wouldn't go looking for clever gifs to post or getting into arguments over how little they care. *tiny mic drop*

It's amazing how the football only purists feel that urge to negatively comment on soccer and can't enjoy the celebration of great athletics in any sport. It reminds me of how Michigan State fans on RCMB can't hold back from their fixation on Michigan. Hmm, I wonder what the similarity is?

I love this thread! I am also a big MCFC fan and if anyone else wins the EPL Id want it to be Leicester City. Amazing story !

For MCFC , well looking forward to Pep working with our talent next year. Too inconsistent under Pelligrini.

You can only fully respect soccer if you have played the game at a high level (elite travel teams, all star at high school level, college ball, pro ball).

The sport is amazing to watch when you view it at its highest level. Leicester City is a brilliant attacking squad with brilliant pace of play, build up, combo passing, and through balls. Watching Leicester, you wouldn't know that their entire roster could be bought at a 3rd of the price as Manchester city.
