Where would Lewis fall in the draft if he did declare?

Hargreaves and Ramsey are ahead of him forsure so he would be he third CB taken at the very earliest. Smart move to come back and get that $$ next draft instead of taking the bait and going early.

He's kind of a lock if you ask me...unless he was HORRIBLE in drills and he dropped, I think he's a pretty safe bet to go in the 2nd round. I suppose if he was All-Everything and tore it up he could worse his way into the bottom of the first, but Ramsey and Hargraves will be considered the top guys - doesn't matter if it's right or wrong.

Hell Hackenberg will be taken in the draft and Rudock won't...not saying he should be, but from what I've seen, Hackenberg is no better. But the measureables don't compare.

by a young man with his priorities in order and his head in the right place.   Obviously we're happy to have him back, but what's more important is that Jourdan Lewis has a well thought-out plan that looks beyond the next year, the next half-dozen years, the next dozen years.

Not to mention how proud his parents and family must be of him!

Jourdan Lews and student athletes like him represent and personify the best of college football.  Bet he will have a great senior season and be part of some compelling senior leadership we will have on the team next year.  Really glad he plays for Michigan and represents the team so well.

Awesome news ! I have a huge appreciation for people who chose Uofm when they have other options. Be it sports related, academic, medically or anything else.

I like the crinkled eyebrow and the "are you stupid" look when the guy asked him why. Smart kid and he's definitely got it right, your education will always be there. Glad to hear the confirmation he'll be back.

Is he an instant difference maker at RB?  This team will be stacked on defense and the O-line has a bunch of seniors that were finally functional this year as juniors.

I think QB will be fine as O'korn was already better than Ruddock and we saw what Harbaugh was able to do with Jake in 1 year.

I think next year's team has playoff talent outside of RB and LB.  I don't see LB getting solved, but the DL and secondary, if they remain healthy, should be able to cover up for some of this deficiency.

Long story short, I think we are a game breaking, bell-cow back away from competing for a playoff spot and RB is a position where freshmen can often have an instant impact....Is Walker that good according to scouting reports that if we land him he could start day 1?

It will be interesting to see what O'Korn is like given that he had 2 different OCs.

-His good year under OC Doug Meacham (now TCU OC) with 3117 yards, 58.1%, 7 yards/attempt, 28tds/10int.
-His bad year was under OC Mike Nesbitt (who resigned later that year) where he lost his job after 6 games. 951 yards, 52%, 5.5yrds/att, and 6tds/8int.

I'm guessing we can expect to see this kind of thing regularly, going forward. If you were a recruit and had Jim Harbaugh dabing it up in your living room, convincing you that you have a bright future, NFL or not, so long as you get your degree (from Michigan, mind you) you're either all-in or you're completely out. Develop the ones who want to stay, forget the ones who don't.

I love the look on his face when he says "to get my education, I haven't graduated yet."

It was the Harbaugh crab legs look.

Kid is a class act. Go Blue J. Lew

2016 could be a special year for the Defense. Especially if we land Gary and an athletic LB or two who can contribute right away.

It is nice to see it official even if it was known / assumed for sometime, but more importantly, something said upthread kind of struck me - I do wonder if this is the prelude to quite a few players who could go either staying or vying for a fifth year. If so, I think that says something very nice about what is happening not only in their lives as student-athletes but in the program and its culture.

Great news. Seems like a great kid with a good outlook on life. He will do well in whatever he decides to pursue.

We dont see this a lot nowadays and its super refreshing to hear that this young man, scratch that...man decided education is the corner stone of a solid life.

Well done sir, tip of the cap.  Get that degree and get that B1G championship next year.

We've had our share of bad luck as far as injuries, transfers, early departures, etc.  It's nice to get a big break in the form of both Butt and Lewis coming back.  Those were quite possibly the two best players on this year's team, so to have them next year is outstanding.
