Or did the NCAA deny his petition for a 14th season of eligibility?

Will he ever graduate!

Was it Ben Huff who got his medical "6th" year? I remember that happening to some defensive player in the last 10 years. They were truly around forever.

No, his application was rejected. I don't think we've ever had a 6th-year player. MSU under Nick Saban had several. Even then, Saban seemed to know how to exploit the rulebook.

Jordan Shipley. Did you know that he and Colt McCoy were roommates!???! And, I guess I could say McCoy seemed like he was there for a long time, too.

Im looking forward to seeing Jess Settles bomb the 3, in a couple of week when Iowa comes to town.

Edgar Sosa.
Drew Neitzel.
I think this phenomenon is more prevalent in basketball because nobody stays for a productive 4 years anymore.

Casey Jacobsen (Stanford) and Jason Kapono (UCLA) It seems they played at least 5 years.

Sometimes I wonder if I have multi-personalities when I read this site, because I was thinking this EXACT thing (as the OP) last night when they were showing Hughes. Like, did I post this in my sleep or something...? Weird...

walter cross... it seemed like he was the backup for about 8 michigan running backs...

It seems like Noel Devine was recruited and signed before Steve Slaton. It feels like that guy has been running for ever at WVU.

Greivis Vasquez has somehow douched his way into at least a full decade of eligibility at Maryland.

I'm not convinced John Stocco ever graduated from Wisconsin. I believe he still may be the third string quarterback.

I was in Mike Hart's class in college so finally seeing him not on the team was just...odd.

I thought that Clark from PSU was there forever.

He was at ND forever and a day. Is he gone yet?

I'm fairly convinced that Illinois basketball has been suiting the same big white guy at center for about 15 years. They just change the name on the jersey every 4-5 seasons (now it's "Tisdale").
Closer to home, big John Navarre QB'd us for many, many moons. (Henne started even more games, but somehow his career seemed to go by more quickly.)

...for there 15 years at the same school.
Any Crispin at Penn St.
Evan Schmeyer at Northwestern
Jess Settles at Iowa.
John Scheyer at Duke.

Does Brian Ellerbe count?
