Rich Eisen - ultimate troll god

Submitted by WMUgoblue on

Well Jemele Hill didn't take long to implode on Twitter after the game, and Rich Eisen had a great retort.

Wonder how it feels to be on the wrong end of a bizarre finish you don't deserve that you'll replay over and over in your head. @jemelehill

Her response:

"Difference is our play against you was clean. This was some bullshit."

I guess she had her green glasses on for that game and didn't see the half dozen or so bullshit calls that went against us, in addition to their miracle play at the end.

OMFG how stupid is that woman? That isn't Rich's point. His point is that they now know how it feels to be on the shitty end of something they didn't deserve. He isn't comparing what happened and saying they're equal. They were both shitty endings. Michigan should have won the MSU game and MSU should have won the Nebraska game, although even if that didn't count and was correctly called, Nebraska still had time to get a score, but we will (thankfully) never know.

THIS!!!

MSU roughed our snapper and lined up in the neutral zone. That is NOT clean. MSU also had a bullshit targeting call advance their drive and then a terrible hold was not called on their ensuing TD run.

MSU's bad call tonight was NOT even as bad as some of those given Nebraska still would've had a few chances to score anyways AND MSU's defender definitely had contact so it's hard to tell 100% (although it was likely bad).

I can understand being upset...but "excepting all resumes"? "All you girls"? "Deliberately cheating"?

Maybe I missed it -- did Braylon Edwards or Anthony Carter go on a stupid twitter rant like this after the MSU game? I hope not.

This clever play on words adds a subtle, sophisticated layer of nuance to Mr. Burress' critique of B1G officiating. By substituting "except" for "accept" in the common phrase "accepting all resumes" (a phrase which already implies a general lack of limiting, prerequisite qualifications), Mr. Burress indicates that all resumes submitted will not only be accepted, but will also be excepted, and thus not even considered in the hiring process. This, in turn, is stated in the context of a dialogue proposing the firing and replacement of existing B1G officials, thus implying that such officials are so inept at their jobs that they could be adequately replaced, almost at random, with no need to even consider the summary written experiences and qualifications of their respective replacements. A fine and nuanced critique, indeed.

Likely not for much longer. Even though I don't believe in such things as curse words, ESPN likely does not want her using that kind of language. Disney is the parent company after all and you can bet your retirement money that they don't like it.
