you have quite the diverse youtube history.

Okay, is that how the videos show up after one watches an embedded video? I always thought it was my video history because not everyone watches ice fishing videos, do they?
October 16th, 2015 at 6:26 PM ^
There is a checkbox when copying the embed code, if you want to prevent that in the future.
October 16th, 2015 at 6:52 PM ^
Cool-thanks. Still green on embedding.

there is definitely a little, um, "brother" joke to be made there....
October 16th, 2015 at 5:24 PM ^
Sometimes "disrespect" is just reality spoken by an objective observer.
October 16th, 2015 at 5:36 PM ^
The lack of trash talking from Harbaugh and the Michigan players is a sign of disrespect... if Michigan really respected MSU, they'd be trash-talking.
October 16th, 2015 at 9:41 PM ^
"Where's the disrespect?"
October 16th, 2015 at 5:36 PM ^
MOAR CHIPS!
October 16th, 2015 at 5:39 PM ^
The only difference btw this "lack of respect" "chip on shoulder" crap turning from a motive to a meme is a 6 out of 8 win streak by UM.
It's always been this way - MSU just couldn't do a damn thing about it for nearly 50 years. Can't wait for the next 8 meetings.
October 16th, 2015 at 5:42 PM ^
Eh, to hell with Michigan State
October 16th, 2015 at 5:45 PM ^
At what point does objective assessment cross the line into disrespect. Good lord inferiority complexes are wearisome.
There's a serious issue with using perceived slights as a way to motivate players: at what point does it stop focusing them and start distracting them?
You have to be an expert at maintaining that focus - Dantonio is. But the result is football players who think it's ok to deliberately injure opponents because, "hey, they earned it, and we have to prove them wrong."
I can only hope that NFL coaches (for the talented ones) or trusted friends (for the not-talented ones) cure them of it later. Because in the non-football world that way of thinking will eventually put you in a bad place.
October 16th, 2015 at 6:00 PM ^
Who cares? I guarantee our coaches and players don't.

Get into the workforce they are the people who will take things like smaller cubicle, an office with one less ceiling tile, or not having an assigned parking space and turn it into a reason to quit. Or punch their boss

MSU is recruiting well. Any reasonable Michigan fan will admit that.

No I won't.

I don't care what Dantonio has/is going to do or how many chips they put on their shoulders.
I just want Michigan to beat up on them.
October 16th, 2015 at 6:57 PM ^
I hope Mike D'Antoni says they all have massive chips on their shoulders, even the towel boy. Then I hope Michigan fucking crushes them 41-0 so all their fans shut the fuck up for a week.

and USC and UCLA are very similar. Michigan has been down and had several coaches since Lloyd. USC has been down (for USC) and has had several coaches (and years of sanctions) since Pete. Their backyard rivals have had greater success on the field during this period with better coaching. And even with the success of UCLA and Michigan State...and streaks of beating their rival (handily at times)...they are still second fiddle from a national perspective. UCLA had one of the best recruiting classes I have ever seen them have, last year...USC's was still better. Michigan State just won the Rose Bowl and has a great coach...and they still get no respect. Now that Harbaugh is here...at what point does Dantonio pull a Saban and jump for the SEC? You can also bet that as soon as USC gets their Harbaugh...Mora will be jumping back to the NFL.
October 16th, 2015 at 7:34 PM ^
I can see where you are coming from with the comparison, the only thing I'll say is that both USC and UCLA are world class institutions.
October 16th, 2015 at 8:14 PM ^
I read that back and can't believe that I accidently compared Michigan State to UCLA. That's like comparing a dirty blond stripper to Margot Robbie.
I meant it more of a comparison as to the state of the respective big brother/little brother football rivalries.
October 16th, 2015 at 7:49 PM ^
Dantonio won't jump to the SEC, he's too old. When Saban did it he was about 15 years younger.
Dantonio will turn 60 this spring. If he's not winning, he'll give it a couple more years and throw in the towel.
October 16th, 2015 at 8:17 PM ^
was hired by South Carolina at age 60.
SC isn't a rebuild a program from the bottom situation.
October 16th, 2015 at 8:42 PM ^
But Spurrier needed a landing spot after he left Washington and the Gamecocks gave him a perfect landing spot in a conference he was familiar with. Dantonio would be making a step down IMO if he took the South Carolina job.

Doubt Mora goes to the NFL, he just made a huge donation to help build UCLA's athletic complex.
Other than that the parallels are there(much as I hate to say it as a UCLA fan). The one quibble I have is this. UCLA signed a lot of great national recruits and I would argue have the national reach that MSU does not. UCLA's problem is that there's a ton of Southern California kids who grow up wanting to be Trojans and it's hard for them to break that barrier. Kind of like Michigan recruiting in Ohio.

Seems a lot like the parallels between Texas and some of the other Texas schools (TAMU, TCU, TTech)
