Yeah, this isn't really cool.  Go after their dumb spartan statue as much as you want, but this is a human being and, frankly, this is a piss-poor paint job as well.

Also, I don't get random vandalization.  The only people really punished by it are the cleaning crews who have to scrub that paint off.  It's just a dick move made by people who think it's going to really show up a bunch of people at another school.

Sparty's feigned indignation is hilarious. They've trashed Michigan's symbols countless times over the years. In this case the statue is so ugly someone would be doing them a favor if they pulled off its pedestal and dragged it to a dump. Whoever is responsible for this, bravo.

During my 8th grade football season our practice field got toilet papered. The coaches told us it was our opponent, Our Lady of Sorrows, and told us to take it out on them on the field. A couple years later I realized how fucking stupid I was for believing them.

Destroying something irreplacable like the tree poisoning at Aburn? That's inexcusable.

But UM/MSU has to hire someone to clean up paint? Come on man, it's just part of the rivalry and neither Michigan or MSU is hurting for the funds.
