I had the same thing happen in high school without all the blood. I don't remember the rest of the night after that. Saw a video of it later and I apparently tried to get up afterward and face planted. It's surprising how much force you can put into a header.

Johnston is my favorite player now - she's a beast.  I love how the US is pulling defenders up constantly.

If we don't score this half before Germany can regroup, we'll probably regret it. 

Though this is by far the best we've played this tournament. Maybe just waiting for the big occasion.

Honeslty, and I know she's probably not 100% in form, but Morgan has always been overrated for me. I don't think she'd have near the positive hype if she played for England or Sweden or a team like that. She's had a couple clutch goals in her career but I've just never been impressed with her from an individual skill point of view. 

4 minutes of stoppage time? That's quite a bit light. The girls were down between 24:00 and 32:00.

My one takeaway from the first half - lol @ the officiating

Germany easily got away with at least 2 yellow cards. How does a ref warn a player twice before giving them a card? USA looks good. I can see a frustrated Germany start to give up goals and get cards in the second half if our ladies keep it up.
