OT: Fantasy Football Start/Sit Em Thread
This week in fantasy I hold onto the #4 seed in my league. With 2 weeks left, I need to win both matchups.
I don't have a dilemma like I did last week but I do have some tough decisions (Bold indicates who I have starting right now):
Alfred Morris vs San Fran (ranked 4th vs RBs)
or
Jonas Gray vs Detroit (ranked 6th vs RBs)
and
Coby Fleener vs Jax (22nd vs TEs)
or
Martellus Bennett vs TB (14th vs TEs)
I also am monitoring Emmanuel Sanders because of the hit he took. He is listed as probable now but for some reason I am still nervous starting him when most of my players play at 1pm.
What are your tough decisions today?
EDIT: Did anyone else see the guy bomb an ESPN reporter this morning LIVE in Detroit yelling F*** her right in the p****? Most hilarious live TV thing I've seen. Link:

I would play cutler. clicking with wideouts... also, what if detroit does shut down NE? I kid I kid... but, for real: the only way Brady ever suffers is when a Dline gets in his face. Our Dline could shut down New England today. I woudl start cutler

I had Clay for a couple weeks and he always let me down. He gets red zone targets every game but he drops the passes or Tannehill throws a horrible pass. Out of all those options pick whichever person is on a hot streak.

As the title states, I'm in a PPR league. Need to choose 2 RBs from this group:
Joique Bell (@ NE)
Trent Richardson (vs. JAC)
Shane Vereen (vs. DET)
Tre Mason (@ SD)
November 23rd, 2014 at 10:19 AM ^
Bell and Richardson.
Vereen is almost a drop now because New England has Gray, Blount and Bolden as ground and pound backs and James White and Vereen as recieving backs.
So lets say New England runs the ball thirty times a game.
Gray: 12 carries
Blount: 10 carries
Bolden:4 carries
Vereen: 4 carries/ 3 or 4 receptions.
Not enough to keep him.
Mason is too inconsistent.
Bell is the starter and will get about 60 yards rushing.
Richardson is going to benefit from an injured Bradshaw and a bad Jags defense.
November 23rd, 2014 at 10:55 AM ^
I would play mason and Bell if I wanted to play it safe. I would replace Mason with Vereen if I wanted to go upside.

I need one RB one flex and one WR from this group
Ryan Matthews
Isaiah Crowell
Bishop Sankey
Kenny Britt
Julian Edleman
Reuben Randle
November 23rd, 2014 at 10:26 AM ^
I'd go with Crowell as a starter for sure. They didn't cut Tate for no reason, and Gordon playing may create some space to run. Hill will probably get Britt the ball, so I'd play him too. I'd go with either Sankey or Edelmen as the flex.
November 23rd, 2014 at 10:40 AM ^
I'd go with Crowell and Edelman
November 23rd, 2014 at 10:34 AM ^
Two QB league and I can't decide between my three.
Ryan
McCown
Rivers
Who should I start?
November 23rd, 2014 at 10:42 AM ^
McCown and Rivers. McCown should look to show the Bears they made a mistake. Rivers with the favorable matchup.

Ertz because Philly's offense vs Jax offense. Jackson and Hopkins.
November 23rd, 2014 at 10:57 AM ^
JAckson and hopkins.
I don't feel strongly about the first scenario... so good luck?

Jordan Matthews, Brandon LeFell, or Julian Edelman?
November 23rd, 2014 at 11:00 AM ^
Probably Matthews because he is Sanchez' favorite target. LaFell and Edelman will get some points today but you can't pick between the 2 because you don't know how Detroit is going to defend the pass today.
November 23rd, 2014 at 11:01 AM ^
If you like the Pats passing game today, I'd take LaFell over Edelman.
November 23rd, 2014 at 11:41 AM ^
I had Matthews already lined up to start. Was secretly hoping for board approval.
November 23rd, 2014 at 10:59 AM ^
Have Denard, Tre Mason, and Joique Bell. Denard has been real good lately, and Indianapolis has been bad against the run. That being said, Mason and Bell both did well against tough run defenses last week. Tempted to go with Denard and Mason here, but this feels like a 3-sided coinflip as to who I bench.
November 23rd, 2014 at 11:01 AM ^
Denard for sure, tossup between the other 2. Bell because he will probably get some extra receiving yards in garbage time.
November 23rd, 2014 at 11:00 AM ^
pick 4 of 7 (and try not to laugh and my mediocrity)
Mike Wallace
DJAX
Kendall Wright
Cecil Shorts
John Brown
Kenny Stills
Jarvis landry
I have the first four in right now... but I am itching to play Stills...
jdon
November 23rd, 2014 at 11:03 AM ^
Yeah that's tough. If you were to make a switch I'd say take out Shorts for Stills. I'm happy I don't have that decision. Good Luck!
November 23rd, 2014 at 11:04 AM ^
Stills is the most likely candidate to become the largest beneficiary of Cooks going out with an injury.
November 23rd, 2014 at 11:18 AM ^
Deciding between Sanu (v HOU), Hopkins (v CIN), and Sankey (v PHI). Hopkins has highest upside, but I think Sankey is the safer play. Thoughts?
Also, in another league, I need to pick 2 RBs out of CJ Anderson (v. MIA), Shane Vereen (v. DET), J. McKinnon (v. GB) and SJax (v. CLE). Maybe I shouldn't have drafted AP, FJax, Toby Gerhart and Ray Rice...
November 23rd, 2014 at 11:21 AM ^
Sanu and Hopkins. I always avoid TN players.
Anderson and McKinnon
November 23rd, 2014 at 11:40 AM ^
jonas gray, shane vareen, and reggie wayne.
i feel like gray is the obvious choice, but he's going up against the tough lion's d (who i hate starting a player against on principle), and he missed a practice on friday for showing up late. i feel like there is a strong chance to get belichick'd (and they're activating blount for some innane reason).
that being said, hard to justify not starting him, although reggie wayne could go off against the jags. what say any of you?

November 23rd, 2014 at 12:02 PM ^
I'm planning start the first two, way better matchups & not dinged up, but feels weird benching 2 proven stars. Am I right to bench the bigger names here?
November 23rd, 2014 at 12:10 PM ^
Evans and Gordon. Tate would be 3rd
November 23rd, 2014 at 12:18 PM ^
November 23rd, 2014 at 12:03 PM ^
I need to start 3 out of these 6 WR.
TY Hilton, Josh Gordon, Megatron, Alshon Jeffery, Desean Jackson, Mohammed Sanu,
November 23rd, 2014 at 12:11 PM ^
Stacked lineup you have there. Gordon, Hilton, Jeffery.
I have Marshall, Sanders, Gordon, Benjamin, and Tate
November 23rd, 2014 at 12:15 PM ^
Michael Floyd (matched up against the Seahawks, with a limited Larry Fitzgerald on the opposite side, so he could be seeing a lot of Richard Sherman)
OR
Chris Hogan (matched up against the Jets)
November 23rd, 2014 at 12:18 PM ^
I have never heard of Chris Hogan so I say Floyd for his red zone upside.
November 23rd, 2014 at 12:18 PM ^
November 23rd, 2014 at 12:22 PM ^
I've also got Pierre Thomas who's slated for Mon night against the Ravens (#1 rush D), so I could wait and choose between Hogan on Mon night and Thomas.
November 23rd, 2014 at 12:30 PM ^
If it's a PPR league then I would be quite high on Thomas as he mostly just catches passes out of the backfield.
November 23rd, 2014 at 12:21 PM ^
With Le'Veon Bell on bye I am really reaching for RBs today (Crowell is my RB1 if that tells you anything). For my RB2 slot I have a plethora of dice throws in the forms of Ben Tate, Juwan Thompson, Doug Martin, and Jonathan Grimes.
Tate and Martin are confirmed to have roles in their respective games today, though how much they're involved is obviously a question mark. Grimes ought to get a little run seeing as Foster is out, and Thompson should get some change-of-pace work with only CJ Andersen in front. None of these are great picks, I realize.
What say you, mgoblog?
November 23rd, 2014 at 12:30 PM ^
I don't feel comfortable with Tate. I say go with the Denver offense.
November 23rd, 2014 at 12:32 PM ^
Forgot to mention it's a PPR league, if that makes any difference.
November 23rd, 2014 at 12:35 PM ^
All I can say is good luck haha. Gotta make a choice and hope it pays off.
