OT: Fantasy Football Start/Sit Em Thread

Submitted by GVSUGoBlue on

This week in fantasy I hold onto the #4 seed in my league. With 2 weeks left, I need to win both matchups.

I don't have a dilemma like I did last week but I do have some tough decisions (Bold indicates who I have starting right now):

Alfred Morris vs San Fran (ranked 4th vs RBs)
or
Jonas Gray vs Detroit (ranked 6th vs RBs)

and

Coby Fleener vs Jax (22nd vs TEs)
or
Martellus Bennett vs TB (14th vs TEs)

I also am monitoring Emmanuel Sanders because of the hit he took. He is listed as probable now but for some reason I am still nervous starting him when most of my players play at 1pm.

What are your tough decisions today?

EDIT: Did anyone else see the guy bomb an ESPN reporter this morning LIVE in Detroit yelling F*** her right in the p****? Most hilarious live TV thing I've seen. Link:

As the title states, I'm in a PPR league. Need to choose 2 RBs from this group:

Joique Bell (@ NE)
Trent Richardson (vs. JAC)
Shane Vereen (vs. DET)
Tre Mason (@ SD)

Bell and Richardson.

Vereen is almost a drop now because New England has Gray, Blount and Bolden as ground and pound backs and James White and Vereen as recieving backs.

So lets say New England runs the ball thirty times a game.

Gray: 12 carries

Blount: 10 carries

Bolden:4 carries

Vereen: 4 carries/ 3 or 4 receptions.

Not enough to keep him.

Mason is too inconsistent.

Bell is the starter and will get about 60 yards rushing.

Richardson is going to benefit from an injured Bradshaw and a bad Jags defense.

Picked up Marcedes Lewis (vs. Indy) off waivers, should I start him or go with Zach Ertz (vs. Ten)? Also, I can play 2 of these 3: DeSean Jackson, DeAndre Hopkins, Reggie Wayne. What do?

Have Denard, Tre Mason, and Joique Bell. Denard has been real good lately, and Indianapolis has been bad against the run. That being said, Mason and Bell both did well against tough run defenses last week. Tempted to go with Denard and Mason here, but this feels like a 3-sided coinflip as to who I bench.

Deciding between Sanu (v HOU), Hopkins (v CIN), and Sankey (v PHI). Hopkins has highest upside, but I think Sankey is the safer play. Thoughts?

Also, in another league, I need to pick 2 RBs out of CJ Anderson (v. MIA), Shane Vereen (v. DET), J. McKinnon (v. GB) and SJax (v. CLE). Maybe I shouldn't have drafted AP, FJax, Toby Gerhart and Ray Rice...

jonas gray, shane vareen, and reggie wayne.

i feel like gray is the obvious choice, but he's going up against the tough lion's d (who i hate starting a player against on principle), and he missed a practice on friday for showing up late. i feel like there is a strong chance to get belichick'd (and they're activating blount for some innane reason).

that being said, hard to justify not starting him, although reggie wayne could go off against the jags. what say any of you?

J. Gordon (Cle), M. Evans (TB), G. Tate (Det), & L. Fitzgerald (Ari).

I'm planning start the first two, way better matchups & not dinged up, but feels weird benching 2 proven stars. Am I right to bench the bigger names here?

Michael Floyd (matched up against the Seahawks, with a limited Larry Fitzgerald on the opposite side, so he could be seeing a lot of Richard Sherman)

OR

Chris Hogan (matched up against the Jets)

With Le'Veon Bell on bye I am really reaching for RBs today (Crowell is my RB1 if that tells you anything). For my RB2 slot I have a plethora of dice throws in the forms of Ben Tate, Juwan Thompson, Doug Martin, and Jonathan Grimes.

Tate and Martin are confirmed to have roles in their respective games today, though how much they're involved is obviously a question mark.  Grimes ought to get a little run seeing as Foster is out, and Thompson should get some change-of-pace work with only CJ Andersen in front.  None of these are great picks, I realize.

What say you, mgoblog?
