META: Resource reminder
Happy monday everyone. As we get toward football season, just a reminder that the menus on the top right contain some very helpful resources for this here weblog and Michigan football generally.
Of particular interest from a football perspective are the Unofficial Two-Deep and the Depth Chart By Class. Both of these can be modified by any "trusted user" (i.e. anyone over 500 points). So if, for example, Ross Douglas announces he's moving to slot receiver, and you notice the depth chart still has him as a running back (or a corner), you can move him. ONE CAVEAT: the two-deep is not for personal gut feelings, but should be a combination of real-world information and logic. If you think Shane Morris should start, that's fine (NO IT'S NOT FINE), but all evidence points to the contrary so leave it as-is.
Also worth checking out are the user-curated Hall of Fame (which, as you might have guessed by the title, can be modified by trusted users also), as well as some FAQs and other assorted whatnot.

Should probably add some of Seth's Hokepoints to the football analysis section. I may do that later.

the Known Boo-Boos section. Very well done. ALSO: Can someone add a legend that explains what some of the notations mean? Such as what the '#' indicates or what the meaning of the italics is?

and done.

Hall of Fame question:
Is it limited to players that actually, you know, were measurably great? Or is it open to the gritty player who grittily showed the most grit?

The HOF is actually a collection of user generated content. Generally diaries, but also UFRs and some other things (like epic GIFs and the like)

Ah, okay. I was thinking it was a player thing for some reason.

And if the MGoBlog Hall of Fame is for MGoBlog posters, and NOT for Michigan athletes, how would one determine the amount of the MGoBlogger's grit?

So to recap BiSB's message, word-for-word:
"... Shane Morris should start ... ."
Don't shoot the messenger. BiSB said it. That's bold (crazy, I think), but you're entitled to your opinion, BiSB.

August 11th, 2014 at 10:34 AM ^

There's a list of revisions included with the Hall-of-Fame if you are a trusted user.

The last revision to the page was in February of this year, and although the person who did it left no organized notes as to what was removed (tsk tsk, as there is a comments section on the Revision history), I believe that was one of the sections that was on the block potentially. Sadly, they also no longer post here, so we might never know what the ultimate plan was. That being said, the section on McFarlin still lives, of course.

We put it in the super exclusive Secret HOF. If you gotta ask how many MGoPoints you need, you don't got enough

I'm not gonna lie, I never even realized that tab was there. Good stuff.

Well there went my whole morning in the office. Four hours of mgoblog information I didn't know existed. I regret nothing.
