Submitted by dothepose on

It's Friday! Second half of the Tigers season starts today. I'm closing on my first home on Tuesday. Training camp for football is right around the corner and it's going to be a beautiful weekend here in Michigan!

Chris Wormley days until Applachian State!!!!

I think the world needs a posbang after the way this week ended...I am proposal writing and new house fixing all weekend, but will definitely make time for the important things. Like vin de bourgogne and cold barley soup.

My goodness how I fucking hate that block M above everybody's name on the back of jersey. It just does not belong there. Brandon has been unfairly criticized about a lot of things but it's things like that said he should be criticized for. Used to be there we had to clean and proper jerseys and now it's MSU that has them.

Not targeting salmon. So prob bass and pike. If we catch walleye the wives would be happy but I'm not looking to clean fish. On vacation with a buddy from college and his family. The girls take their kid-free day for manicure pedicure. We take ours for fishing. Will probably start out crankin' 8-12 foot areas. Have lunch at the bear lake tavern. Even if we don't catch fish it's a great day!! But any help you can give me would be great....otherwise have a good one and GO BLUE!!

and spoons. Gold is a mainstay. Perch color or white can produce too. The mouth of the river and to Bear are obviously good. The flat around the black buoy in the middle is good for smallies and pike. You'll lose a lot of jigs or minnows to pike there if you're rigging for the bass. A buddy boated a 43" out of there last year.

Well, this morning I find myself in downtown Detroit at our headquarters waiting for a meeting which should take me to lunch, and then as I took a half-day anyway, I will be heading straight home - save for some errands - after the meeting. It's a busy weekend at the house with the kids' birthday party being tomorrow - we have the parties together since their actual birthdays are five weeks apart (well, that strategy works for now).

Sunday is going to be the midsummer planting of a few more crops. For some reason, my soil favors beans, but then when I drive a few miles to the south of me and find bean fields which are doing quite well this year, I suppose that makes sense.

This coming weekend, despite the stress of a party, is needed - it has been one of those weeks that wears on me. Speaking of stress, hopefully the bouncy house we rented for this party helps with that.

I'll spend the w/e reconsidering various life choices.  Like choosing a flight for tomorrow a.m. that boards at 6:30 a.m. so I could save a few bucks.

Learn from my errors, people!

Going to my favorite burger joint tonight then having friends over for beer and cards. Tomorrow is take the girlfriend to the top rated steakhouse in the city for her birthday. And I pooped my pants this morning on the way to work. Seriously. Could use a good banging after that.

It's a gathering of board members for gratuitous upvoting and spreading goodwill.  I posbanged you just now, and you probably didn't feel a thing.

Oh, and since you're living in 1973 and based in NY, you might want to buy some property in and around Times Square.  Trust me on this one.

Also, bet heavy on Seattle Slew in 1977 and Affirmed in 1978.  You don't know what I'm talking about now, but in a few years you'll thank me.

I'm sleeping today.

I may take a drive later and have a nice Walleye dinner somewhere.

I might take in a STL Dodger game if I don't find anything else to do.

Hurry up Aug. 30 I'm bored

Football season is soooo close! I've been watching old highlights at work (while working of course) just because the best weekends of the year are almost here!

Since I can't make new posts, might as well post it in the posbang thread.  Anyone else see Weird Al's new release today?  I thought many people might get a kick out of it as it's about blind loyalty to a sports team and hating on other teams.

This may not be for everyone, but I've been following Weird Al's most recent releases (he's releasing 8 videos in 8 days for his new album) and it has brought back memories from listening to him growing up.

You're right. Weird Al Yankovic is not for everyone, but occasionally his parodies are well-thought, nice tributes to the originals like Bob, his palindromic parody of Bob Dylan's 115th Dream. (Unfortunately, the video for Dylan's original is not available or extremely hard to find online, but the Weird Al parody captures the essence of the original.)

Of the recently released Weird Al videos, I like Word Crimes, the parody of Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines . . . For the Cunning Linguists of MGoBlog:
