Come on down Cullen Christian, Rashad Knight, Tony Grimes, and any other CB/DB we can get in our program!! The road to playing time just became even less bumpy. I agree that if he was screwing around and his heart wasnt in it he should have left, but damn does this news hurt. I escape from the shitty real world into the serenity that is Michigan football. I hope he gets his act together and makes something of his life. He is still just a 20 year old kid lets remember that and try not to be too critical of him based on this lapse in judgment.

Strange that the kid does enough to get back in the coaches' good graces enough to play on Saturday then is dismissed the following Tuesday. I wonder if the coaches were waiting for some evaluations from Profs or TAs that hadn't yet come in.

Maybe. I think it's just as likely, given what his coach said, that he missed another class or meeting or workout between the game and today. And, I'd guess that he was on a pretty short, zero-tolerance-type leash.

I wish this would all just go away. I just want to press fast forward til we're relevant again and not stubbing ourselves in the foot at every turn.

Wow, so we now have 4 scholarship corners on the roster. Warren, Woolfolk(a converted S), Floyd, and Jones(converted RB, never played CB until this year). How are teams not lining up with 5 wide every down against us?

given such a great opportunity doesn't understand how lucky he is and what a unique position he was in. A chance to play for the Maize and Blue is a priviledge not a right and a "free" road to earn a degree from Michigan is priceless. It can be so hard to get that across to some of the kids today. Good luck to him.

im not going to believe it till i see it. i dont know his coach very well, and i assume he has no reason to lie, but until something official comes out (lets be honest, freep isnt exactly known for its groundbreaking journalism) im going to take it with a grain of salt.

Damn. If Warren goes pro, either Floyd or Turner will start. And that is probably not a good thing. We need Donovan to stay more than any other player we've had in the last few years.

david from wyoming: big jerk who judges big jerks who judge people or biggest jerk who judges biggest jerks who judge people? Not sure how my comment is inappropriate, though. Guy was/is immensely talented, going to school for free, and wearing the winged helmet and threw it away by not going to class and skipping workouts. Balas posted over at Rivals that he seriously screwed up. To be clear, I wish Boubacar all the best. I had very high hopes for him, and hope he succeeds wherever he ends up.

Wouldn't you feel like an ass if it ever came out that Boubacar was missing class because of a personal issue (ie, death in the family)? Calling someone an idiot when you don't know the full story is judging someone. Remember how people got pissed that McGuffie wanted to leave the program and the line 'he isn't a true MICHIGAN MAN' was tossed around a lot. Yup, turns out he had good reasons for going home. And I'm a huge jerk, but not for the reason you think.

Wow. So assuming Warren goes pro, our starting corners next year are Floyd and Woolfolk? (Or Floyd and Turner if Woolfolk moves back to safety?) That means pretty much any incoming freshman CB is guranteed a spot on the 2 deep. Hopefully we load up. Unfortunate this happened.... Cissoko was one of the people I was most excited about in his recruiting class, unfortunate that he had the world at his fingertips and squandered the opportunity.

I think the starters next year will be Warren and Woolfolk. I bet Turner, Floyd and two Freshman will see alot of time. I wouldn't be surprised to see Vlad and Kovaks start at safety with Williams and a Freshman (true or redshirt) getting time also.

I hope that he gets his act together and gets a second chance. The general notion of the guy who went to school in Detroit and gets accepted into the best school in Michigan on scholarship to play football is appealing to me, and I'd hate to see it end this way. I couldn't care less about media coverage and all that other crap; I just want to see him graduate with a Michigan degree, assuming that he improves himself and deserves it.
