Cissoko Reinstated

Submitted by KinesiologyNerd on
ESPN just reported that Cissoko was reinstated yesterday and is eligible to play against PSU. Hopefully this helps us today. Also, according to Tate even if his shoulder wasn't 100% he wouldn't tell us. I found that funny

I'm glad he did whatever he needed to do to get out of the doghouse. He could help us at some point. That being said, I hope he doesn't see the field today. Woolfolk is better than him.

To be fair, ESPN is ripping off reporting by local press. I believe Mark Snyder of the Free Press (or maybe it was Angelique Chengelis of the News) had it first.

That's great news. It appears RR handled this delicate situation very effectively. Reminds me quite a bit of Red Berenson. I remember a case a few years back when he suspended a player for not performing well in the classroom. The interesting part, though, was that the player was getting grades good enough to remain eligible. Red just thought he should be doing better.

Red benched Marty Turco for one game his senior year when he found out Marty skipped a class. The game he missed was a big one, too... Michigan at Michigan State in February with CCHA regular season title implications. IIRC, they were in a dead heat in the standings and the winner would be in the driver's seat. State won the game. I also remember him benching Milan Gajic for a weekend or two for falling behind in his classwork. And he's done that with other players as well.
