OT- Game of Thrones S04E06: The laws of gods and men
Once again it's on! Tyrion is back on the scene trying to save his neck. Stannis is on his way to the Iron Bank for a loan so he can get back into the game of thrones. Happy Mothers Day to all, especially to the mother of dragons. Please, no book talk. Enjoy!
We Do Not Sow
Yeah there's really only one person with absolutely zero redeeming qualities. Well I guess a couple others but Joffrey is dead thank goodness.
The Mountain too.
He looks after his own family to some extent, but treats everyone else like crap.
So, how is she not in deep shit for supposedly knowing about the plot to kill the King and doing nothing about it and remaining silent?
Remember that Lord Baelish and Lady Olenna did it, so Shae is lying, she's been told to say what she said so I don't think she would do it if there wasn't a promise or something first of all to not to prosecute her, and likely she'll be paid.
It's pretty obviously a kangaroo court to begin with.
The answer to that will come soon enough.
It's "woman scorned."
Shit just go real son!
best episode of the season so far... IMHO...
No way. Not even close to the best.
not even close... why?
What did you do to get banned this time Darth?
that last scene was awesome and perfectly shows how venomous Tyrion can be when pushed too far.
nice heads up!
I am surprised they give away things like that in the names...
although I was actually pretty surprised that they showed tyrion in chains in the season 4 promos. For me it was no big deal, but to the unsullied it was a little too much spoiler.
jdon
They actually have not referred to said character with that pseudonym yet in the show. I suspect that will not remain the case. Additionally, I doubt casual show watchers will be closely following the titles of the episodes prior to their airing.
That was not my intent. I was trying to be as vague as I can be while still trying to engage the commenter on the point I wanted to make. I usually pride myself on not spoiling content from the books when watching with my friends who have not read the books at all.
If you feel that my post was too much in hindsight, you have my permission to downvote.
Yeezus, although you're right, could you edit your comment. It definitely spoils a big plot point for the next episode.
The books are far more detailed. The show however is extremely well done. For someone who doesn't enjoy reading, I think the show is about as good as it gets. However if you don't mind picking up 700+ page books, you should definitely read them. Outside of LOTR, I can't think of another book adaptation that I've enjoyed more.
This can't be overstated.
if you have watched the show, it provides faces and scenery to what you're reading about. I have to say that after I started watching the show it made reading the books that much more enjoyable because I could vividly picture exactly what the charcters looked like, the style of the castles and the lay of the terrain. I couldn't possibly advocate just doing one or the other, a true fan of game of thrones should be both reading and watching.
Is "Retribution" the name of some bath soap?
This is one of the many reasons that this is an extraordinary series (both the books and the show). Theon betrayed the family who raised him and killed many good people, including a couple innocent children. Yet they manage to turn it around so completely that you actually end up feeling bad for him.
Amazing performance. Almost feel sorry for everyone else on the cast living in his shadow.
He's laying in the bush.
