Missouri WR Dorial Green-Beckham suspended indefinitely
If this is OT mods please change-
Sometimes #1 pick is not the best pick. Great talent but dumb decesion.
Tell me in college that you were mature and always making smart decisions. College is about learning from your mistakes as it is about learning. Plus if there is any sport where a problem child can be succesful in, its the NFL, particularily at Wide Receiver. For example, Josh Gordon.
According to Sports Illustrated, he actually did cooperate with the investigation when it began in January, even turning over cellphone records and giving a DNA sample to help out the police - the marijuana did not belong to Beckham, according to the article as well. Hopefully, he can get things straightened out and get back into the field - in football, he definitely has an excellent future.
a DNA sample for a bag of weed? I haven't the foggiest idea how much that costs, but it sounds to me like a misallocation of funds and resources.
How else are they going to identify the weed? Take prints off its fingers?
This is pretty surprising to me. I think I remember his excellent character receiving extensive coverage during his recruitment. He even won some national athlete service award If I remember correctly. Not that service and weed are necessarily mutually exclusive, but generally good character goes with good decisions.
This is a prime example of how a college environment can really mess with a kid even if he came from a good home environment. Maybe that's why MM's mom was so worried about her son going to MSU.
ITT:
How do you know if somebody smokes weed after college?
Don't worry-they'll let you know.
Why is this some distinction? Do people stop getting wasted after college?
Given the propensity of drinking threads on this blog and the popularity of alcohol, I'd say no. A lot of people like to relax with a drink at night. I prefer a bowl. What's the difference?
There isn't. While I don't enjoy blazing as much as drinking, or as much as I used to, there are still a few people that I'll smoke with for nostalgia's sake. I don't think smoking is ~bad~ and, while I'm not picketing or leading the parade, I think the legalities of marijuana need some refreshing.
I was just making a funny observation that people that smoke weed beyond college are a lot like vegetarians, cat people, and that one woman at work that used to weigh 250 pounds and has now gotten down to 160 thanks to CrossFit; good for you, your lifestyle doesn't bother me, but JFC if they aren't thinking about it, talking about it, or waiting for someone else to bring it up.
If it weren't for the legal and employment ramifications I'd still love to partake in some green bud. Someday soon when the kids aren't around this mid-40's guy will be able to legally purchase it and the bride and I will have a lazy weekend by the pool.
Already told her when it becomes legal there will no longer be tomatoes in the garden.
As to indefinite suspension- this is the SEC we're talking about. Probably means sitting the 1st half against Our Sisters of Mercy Community College.
