I've read his comments directed to me and others and have come to the conclusion that he's most likely REALLY old. I mean like an old guy that even I would look at and say "hey, that dude is fucking OLD." With the normal reduction in cognitive abilities occurring.

Leaders and Best-through-contrition-at-times is okay too.
If I've learned anything as a business leader, it's that integrity doesn't always mean you do the right thing the first time, but you make your best effort.
I have a sense that Warde et al. did their best due diligence but slipped up in the process somehow. They've quickly re-examined the situation. I wish they made the right decision the first time around, but give credit to resolving it quickly.

I hear what you are saying, but given the circumstances and issues surrounding this individual, this is far more than a slip up.
A slip up is when the Lions did not do a full background check on Matt Patricia and the alleged incident when he was on Spring Break as a college student, that I can see falling thru the cracks.
How do you not know about this person and her involvement with USA Gymnastics??? If she was the gymnastics coach at a small division 3 school where some "minor" incident was alleged to happen, that once again is a slip up.
This was a "maybe no one will notice"!!!

I don’t think this is the time to say leaders and best. In the end we made the right decision. But only because people outside of the athletic department pressured them to. The best decision would have been to never consider working with her.

Anybody in the athletic department that saw this hire and didn’t raise hell about it should be putting their head down and doing a lot of reflection in the next few days. Kudos to the Michigan community that raised hell about it though.
