There isn't a QB is the league that doesn't get rattled by pressure. Even your geezer Brady isn't as effective with defenders in his face. Not many QB's look good when pressured.

Waiting for the Pep Hamilton to NFL thread.

Good riddance

Enter next OSU QB to serve us our perennial ass kicking.

Meh. Haskins has really been the only QB since Troy Smith to actually 'beat' Michigan.
2007: Was it Boekman (sp?) nope. Beanie Wells beat us.
2008-2010: Pryor? Or the fact we didn't have a defense.
2012-13: Miller? More the team.
2014-17: Barrett IV? again the team.
2017/18: Haskins.

My point is more that it doesn't seem to matter who is playing QB for them, we lose anyways.

All those years in the '80s and '90s when we were beating Ohio State, it was typically because we had better QB play than they did.
While we were trotting out Harbaugh and Grbac and Brady, they were trotting out Herbstreit and Stanley Jackson and Belisari.
But that has not been true for some time. Their QB play has been consistently better than our for 15+ years.
Until we change that, we'e not going to get different results.

Barrett never really beat us. Twice we knocked him out of the game, one was The Spot and the other was DJ Durkin packing his shit instead of coming up with a game plan.

They still beat us, including with their 3rd string QB.

Thought Shea Patterson was going to be the savior here.... but I'll bet a lot of OSU fans were glad he came back. He's not the answer to beating OSU, that's for sure.

In my mind, we just traded Mattison to OSU for Haskins and we're going to bench Haskins all next year. I'll take that trade any day!

Quick release will make him marginally better than say Geno Smith.... he actually reminds me of David Carr (not Derek) needs a line to keep clean

Not a bad outcome for Mr. Belding's son.

If Fields gains eligibility and wins the starting QB battle next year, then I bet he's going to end up better than Haskins was this year.

I agree. He won't have the passing numbers... but he has been compared to Braxton Miller with a better arm. I don't know about you but that sounds scary as hell. I want nothing to do with playing that kind of QB. Not to mention since he'll be able to run like the wind when needed... their running game is going to be scary with Dobbins.

If you break a record held by Drew Brees you’ve got nothing left to prove at this level...good luck to him.

Haskins has a rocket arm, is very accurate and smart and is the best pro style QB prospect in a good number of years.
The Lions should trade up and grab him. He will be that good in the NFL.

Yeah, that's good news. Unfortunately the Buckeyes offense with Fields/Dobbins will be way more dangerous than it was this year with a pure Haskins passer. Fields coming to OSU will probably make Don Brown want to leave even more than the beating they gave him this year.
