Cryptic tweets by those who have recently left the program

At the end lets take the road less traveled: the high road. Unless you want to get a panel of all the transfers together & identify the central theme of all the departures & since that will not happen let them speculate. Be blessed

He's made all of you so mad lol.  People talking about what a terrible poster the OP is (i have no idea btw.  i dont use the board much) are responsible for most of the stupid shit im seeing in the comments.  Raging hard against the idea that James Hudson was going to start sooner than later (he was); ppl dogging Kareem Walker's character even tho ive never read anything like that (some ppl try and still arent good at school); and then some guy who literally accused the OP of trying to bring down the program with his negativity.

Some of yall are weirdos.

I heard before the season from a self proclaimed "Insider" that the players didn't like Harbaugh. I dismissed it at the time, and I still don't buy it.

Based on some of the posts, I wanted to throw this out there for whatever it is worth, I have two close buddies who played for Harbaugh (Neither are the self proclaimed "insider" and neither played for Harbaugh at Michigan)-Both only have great things to say about playing for him and about him as a person. Both still talk to him frequently via the phone, make the trip to Michigan for a home game/year, and Harbaugh attended one of their weddings. Based on their experience playing for Harbaugh, and from convos with them about Harbaugh's relationships with their teammates, I just don't buy that Harbaugh is the "Cryptic" issue.

I can definitely see Harbaugh rubbing some people the wrong way. The guy is an odd duck, and definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. I’d hold nothing against guys who transferred out of the program who weren’t recruited by Harbaugh (guys recruited by Hoke), if their reason was that they just don’t mesh well with him.

But for guys he recruited? Then it’s the player’s own damn fault if they find out later that Harbaugh isn’t the coach for them. Assuming of course that Harbaugh is still doing things by the book. Harbaugh lays his personality out in full view. There should be no surprises about who he is and how he coaches.

A kid's own fault for what exactly?  Not being able to predict how a relationship will unfold?  Let's not forget that a significant portion of the sunshine blown up athletes' asses come from the coaches themselves.  I see that as a recurring complaint in this post, all the adulation poured upon kids "today".  It's pretty disingenuous not to consider that a coach's recruiting personality is probably not his week 10 personality under unpredictable circumstances.

If they’ve got legitimate beefs with Harbaugh or the program, then sack up and tell everyone what happened. If there are real problems then Harbaugh and his staff should be held accountable to that and punished accordingly. Whether that means fines, suspensions, or firings.

But if this is a couple of guys venting about not getting playing time they think they deserved...well...not much you can do about that. Harbaugh can’t make everyone happy.

Noncoach can save every young man from himself. The young man has to have a big say in whether he can live up to what is expected of him. I’m a college professor—I reach out and attempt to help every student who takes my classes. But some kids think that the easy treatment they got in high school still exists with college professors. It does not. Some of them get more help simply because they seek it and they earn it by following directions.

Way too many kids theink that our printed and lectured directions are suggestions, not requirements. So I am “gone” take Hudson and Walker’s poor tweet language as an example of their lack of a desire to live up to coach expectations.

I hate to say this or put it this way but unless your kissing a recruits ass from day 1 until he leaves there w be issues w a certain “type” of kid. Michigan is not for everyone and the more kids come from the South and or Texas and parts of Cali expect this to happen because these kids get cart Blanche from day 1 in the Southern schools and don’t even go to class half the time. I met Marshawn Lynch this weekend in Vegas and there is no way in hell he could hack it at Cal Berkeley for 3 years. I’m just a realist. I could say so much about what “happens for real” on these college campuses and it would blow your damn mind! Most here 99% have no idea what really happens behind the doors and how much BS and Crazy Shit that really happens on and off the field.

Aubrey if he leaves he obviously was fed something or doesn’t feel the love he thinks he should get. Kid was positioning himself to be a monster this upcoming year.

Also yes there was lots of stuff told to Hill from Sabans Bama Camp about Don Brown and Harbaugh leaving. Same w Harrison and OSU. I’m telling you it’s a far more dirtier game then you people know, and for the most part until Michigan digs in and decides to play that game this w be the outcome.

I’m not sure why everyone is heated about the post.  Kids who’ve transferred are insinuating that something deeper is going on within the program than is being delineated.   It’s not particularly informative around cause so if you want to take umbrage to that feel free.  But I’m not sure someone should be banned for a post that offers more questions than answers.   It’s better than “should Urban Meyers ghost coach at Michigan?”

Solomon didn’t like it here.  I don’t know why he came in the first place other than I suspect his parents felt educationally this was the best place for him.  He got the school name wrong when he committed, he told the school to F off before he committed and those are usually signs of impending discontent.   I’m actually surprised it took him this long to be honest.  Maybe kids feel it’s not a meritocracy and they are being cheated.   It happens and everyone moves on.   There will be bitter feelings when you feel wronged.  But time heals all wounds and these kids will showcase their talent and grow from the experience.  It sucks to be in their shoes - things not going your way, far from home, no educational anchor and no real comfort in your environment. Plus you may have to start from scratch. I wish him well and am bummed he’s gone.   Sucks for us and for him...

Without claiming to know anything about the 'inner workings' of the program..I don't consider transfers per se to be a sign of something being 'very wrong' or 'very bad'.

In some ways, I would be more concerned about the program if people didn't transfer. Let's face it, if you run things the proper way you'll piss off a percentage of those kids. A lot of those kids are immature, selfish etc. and many of them will have their little conflicts with figures of authority. Some will grow out of that, others will just throw a strop and pack up and leave.

I actually don't trust the programs that don't have kids leave unless the coaches tell them to eff off...because that sounds like a professional program, not an amateur one. You stick with a bad situation if you get paid and rely on it.

Yep, there's a whole chapter in Bo's Lasting Lessons about this too.

Regarding the Solomon transfer, I could give two shits.  He's Dennis Green on defense... and considering how entitled him and his mom came across during recruiting (notwithstanding Michigan's spelling gaffe), I'm guessing SEC bag men are lining up right now.

It would be nice to know what's going on with the program though; the Higdon comments for example, worry me more.

One of the things that’s always kinda bugged me about Harbaugh is that he doesn’t do an injury report. He doesn’t even have to be specific and could make it like hockey where “upper/lower body” is as in depth as it gets.

The reason I bring this up is that someone random on twitter asked if it could be that the guys that transferred we’re injured at some point and then either passed up or never given another shot to be out there because of the injury or if they were “injured” as a form of punishment for something

8 transferred and 2 were because of medical reasons. 2were OL recruits of warinner that transferred pretty quick. All about playing time and 1 expulsion from school.

It would be hard to speak on players who didn't want to work in the class room. The fact Kareem commented along with Harbaugh's recent comment about being academic athletes all point to the kids transfering not liking the idea they actually have to pull the grades to play.

I am sure there are plenty of schools who take care of their star athletes and make it so football is all they have to excel at, and these kids all talk to each other.
