The last couple of games the D has not looked fired up and the pass rush was not as good as in the big games against WI, MSU and PSU. May be they just did not get motivated playing against Rutgers and IU. I hope the fire comes back next week and we put a lot more pressure on Haskin or he may end up picking us apart if we don't.

There’s little to no reason for Devin Bush ever to be on the outside covering. Ever. I don’t understand why the master of defense doesn’t drop a safety to cover the extra- knowing crossing routes or a qb run is coming. Scheming Bush out of his sweet spot happens a ton and surprised it doesn’t happen more. DeBord got the matchups he wanted and that’s saying a lot. But maybe Brown got what he wanted too. Lots of 3rd down conversions with Bush near the sideline so he could talk to him.

Honestly, this was the perfect warmup for OSU. IU runs a "similar-ish" offense. UM played about as poorly as possible. All week the coaches are going to be on them about what will happen if they play as poorly then as they did today. Dudes are going to be fired up and focused. They will know what they need to do. And, when all is said and done, all the worrywarts in this thread will cheer, with a UM blowout of OSU getting the rivalry back onto even footing.

I was curious about this too. Definitely because we were bringing Hudson on most plays and he didn’t get the edge once. There was definitely some IU holding but, honestly, we also didn’t look dominant on the pass rush against Rutgers. Obviously, Penn State we got to Trace all the time. My guess is they told the players not to over-exert and get injured. Or IU’s line is incredible. Idk.

It’s probably already been mentioned but my fear is that our defense put on a clinic for Urban Meyer when it comes to coverage on crossing routes. Indiana killed us in that.
