Ugly and costly, but still only gave up 3 points in the 2nd half.

At home--against Indiana
November 17th, 2018 at 7:55 PM ^
Who do we have left on this side of the ball.
November 17th, 2018 at 10:19 PM ^
I heard on the interweb that Harbaugh said the x-ray on Chase was negative.
November 17th, 2018 at 7:55 PM ^
Before all the overreactions flow in Im not worried about this either. Don Brown will have the d ready.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:26 PM ^
for sure. Not the best game, but I have little doubt the scheme and play will be better next week. Classic trap/look ahead game that was won by 11 points. Wish it would have been a blowout, but shit happens.
November 17th, 2018 at 11:09 PM ^
He'll make adjustments 100%
November 17th, 2018 at 7:56 PM ^
For the first time this year, the M defense was a little gassed in the 4th.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:02 PM ^
Most snaps they’ve played all year
November 17th, 2018 at 8:05 PM ^
We were not getting all those 3 and outs we've been getting this season.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:27 PM ^
Hurry up O smoked them...
November 17th, 2018 at 7:56 PM ^

November 17th, 2018 at 7:56 PM ^
If I hadn’t watched the OSU game beforehand, I’d be saying if Michigan plays like this next week, there’s no way we win. But if OSU plays next week likemthey played this week, there’s no way Michigan loses. They’ll put up points, but Higdon and Patterson will run (and throw) all over them.

This game couldn't have gone worse for us. Winovich's injury looks season ending. Not sure about Solomon. Gary looked to be in pain too. The cramps are back. The cornerbacks got exposed. The linebackers couldn't do anything against the QB scramble. Not good. Nothing good.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:18 PM ^
Gary didn’t look hurt. He looked extremely thankful and happy after getting a sack. We had over 500 yards of offense, a season high. We just couldn’t finish drives, it’s not a trend item throughout the year though. This is the first QB to complete double digit passes on us in like 6 weeks.
Ohio state got gashed on the ground and through the air. Offensively we will be fine. Quick slants and drags is our defenses kryptonite, has been all year. Get pressure on Haskins and we’ll be alright. If we don’t itll be tough.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:45 PM ^
Bullshit.
We got the W.
November 17th, 2018 at 7:57 PM ^
Ohio State runs a better version of the offense we saw tonight.
We have a week to figure it out.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:50 PM ^
If so, then today was a great warm-up.
Granted OSU has better talent, but Haskins is not much of a runner and also not much of a passer on the run.
November 17th, 2018 at 9:52 PM ^
But the IU RB was better than OSUs run game.
Haskins is gonna air it out. We need our DBs to figure out those crossing routes for sure. They got burned to a crisp.
November 17th, 2018 at 7:59 PM ^
How many guys do we have left standing?
All of them, I hope.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:02 PM ^
I don’t know what it means for next week, but it means something.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:02 PM ^
Will have to admit that after this game the "Total" confidence heading into next week is not so total!!! Bad bad feeling after tonight. Hope it's just heartburn and nothing a tums won't cure though.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:02 PM ^
The idea of not having Chase next week is terrifying. Both from a level of ply perspective as well as an on-field leadership perspective.
Could we win without him? Yes. But you need a guy like him on the field. A fifth year senior who can rally the troops and breathe life into the entire defense.
Wins are wins, but we gave OSU a LOT to work with today.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:04 PM ^
In looking at the schedule this year, I never would have guessed Indiana would have given more of a fight than Wisc, little brother and Rape U
November 17th, 2018 at 8:07 PM ^
IU had a much better QB. Wisc, MSU, PSU had physically and / or mentally broken QB's
We have not faced a good QB for months.
November 18th, 2018 at 12:20 PM ^
Glad someone mentioned this. Wouldn’t have changed the results but Hornibrook, Lewerke, and McSorley were not close to 100%. Neither was Martinez in the Nebraska game although that would have only made for a slightly closer blow out. Still pissed at Pigrome for choking on the final play and PSU for choking away a late lead against Ohio. Still a cardiac game next week but would be slightly less so with the BIG East clinched and a probable post season floor of Rose Bowl as BIG champs.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:20 PM ^
Maybe you should have looked at the results of the last few years. Happy for the win but in all honesty I never really felt comfortable about this game. To me it had the feel of Iowa a couple of years ago. Next week has now become more questionable. I sure hope I am wrong!!!!
November 17th, 2018 at 8:04 PM ^
Defense needs more gatorade!
November 17th, 2018 at 8:04 PM ^
Simon Stepaniak, the shitbird OL who hurt Winovich and got the personal foul on Paye a few plays later, is from Ohio. Conspire away.
November 18th, 2018 at 6:36 AM ^
And committed to Kevin Wilson...
November 17th, 2018 at 8:06 PM ^
Chase will be back in time for the college football playoff.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:08 PM ^
Let's hope that matters.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:19 PM ^
I don't know who you are, random internet person, but I sure want to believe you.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:10 PM ^
CBs were particularly bad today. Pass rush was almost non-existent. Not what I expected.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:12 PM ^
I think I counted 11 Indiana first downs by QB runs or crossing routes. Now I'm not as smart as Don Brown but don't think that leaving a LB or viper in the middle to spy or cover crossing routes would have been a good idea?
November 18th, 2018 at 9:13 AM ^
Brown is trying to bait Urban into game planning runs for Haskins. That is the absolute worst part of Haskins game, unless Urban has been baiting Brown into giving up QB runs.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:13 PM ^
Pickle juice for the defense. All week.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:16 PM ^
If Winovich is done I gotta be honest I don't like our chances next week. We'll get even less pressure than we did today which wasn't much.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:19 PM ^
Ohio’s offensive line is worse than IU’s and i trust that Don can gameplan around the loss. Also. Their defense is atrocious. We will score.
November 17th, 2018 at 9:04 PM ^
Yes, OSU really looked tough against Maryland, solid in all phazes.
November 17th, 2018 at 9:06 PM ^
Rashan Gary might have something to say here...
November 17th, 2018 at 8:17 PM ^
My eternal pet peeve - all of you who are not the no-kidding coaches or players appropriating "we," as in "we looked terrible" or "we better get this fixed or we will suck in Columbus."
Up your game.
And, as always, Go Blue.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:29 PM ^
Fans are widely considered to be a part of the entire organization of a sports team. Especially one where the team is a representative of a larger organization.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:36 PM ^
My pet peeve is people who think that they are better than other people because of pronouns.
Do you also think that you need to have attended UM to be a fan?
November 17th, 2018 at 9:54 PM ^
C'mon pope, don't have a we-ness complex!
To your question, the world would be a better place if everyone was a Michigan fan.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:17 PM ^
Most concerning was our DLs lack of being able to get past the OLine to pressure the QB. Don’t know if it was out of respect for his running ability or....? Something felt off about our blitzes and timing that was not “getting home”
with that said, today felt more vanilla on defense. Not a lot of trickery. Indiana always plays us tough, like Purdue plays OSU - that team who gets hyper amped and plays beyond their ability vs Michigan. The past three years have been either OT or by less then 2 TDS - decided in the 4th. So, in a way this was our most sound beating of Indiana - as there was never a point in the game that felt like they were truly better then us.
I have no doubt our emotions will be jacked for OSU.... although their offense does hit us where we are most vulnerable. Hope this is a week of learning and renewed focus and a reminder of being vulnerable if not 100% on the ball. It was like the D was sleep walking until the 2nd cheap shot. Then they decided to flex their muscle... and then went back to coasting. I know Dr. Brown would love nothing more then walking out of C-Bus with a dominant W

Negative x rays on Winovich, per Harbaugh.
November 17th, 2018 at 8:30 PM ^
Negative = no break?
November 17th, 2018 at 8:38 PM ^
Correct. Plain xrays are assessing the bones for fracture and alignment/dislocation.
