Exit James Hudson Comment Count

Well, this makes no sense:

247Sports was able to confirm on Monday evening that second-year offensive lineman James Hudson asked for and was granted his release from the program. Michigan spokesman Dave Ablauf confirmed the report, stemming from a Facebook post written by Hudson's mother on Monday evening.

Hudson is not apparently in any trouble and had been heavily hyped as a major talent at tackle. Until about two seconds ago he was regarded as the favorite to replace Juwann Bushell-Beatty next year. So this is a bizarre one.

Andrew Stueber and Jalen Mayfield now step into the on-deck circle at tackle. This probably won't be a problem—hail Warinner—but losing a talented redshirt freshman at a spot where you want to have all the lottery tickets you can gather is a blow.

Hate this. So much talent. I wish I could talk to him. I quit football after my second year of college and it is one giant regret. He is so talented. This one hurts

The edit feature on the depth chart is still disabled. Could one of you update this, and verify that the depth chart is correct? For instance, Singleton is still on the depth chart at ILB. Thanks!

Everyone assumes Hudson left because Stueber went in for JBB. Maybe the opposite is true. Maybe coaches knew he was leaving & put Stueber in accordingly. Only Michigan men representing Michigan; Frieder redux without the public statements.

This makes no sense at all. Only thing I can think of is he’s not happy about Stueber passing him last week and said I’ll take my ball and go home. I know that’s being harsh on him but other then that why would he leave now when his future is so bright here

This transfer has hurt me the most out of all of them so far. I didn't like the Singleton one either, but at least linebacker is the deepest position talent wise on the team. Best of luck to him but I was really looking forward to him exploring his potential.

What a bum.

Would've been in-line to start literally next year now he has to go to another school, entirely re-start, sit out a year, then hope he gets a starting position. Just baffling, but glad we got rid of someone who's not committed to the program and to winning. Get that weak ass shit out of here and over to IU or another bottom-feeder program.

One more kid who is probably not getting good advice from home.  Probably hearing "you are better than the guys ahead of you.  They don't appreciate you so you should transfer" rather than "keep working hard and do what the coaches ask of you".

Probably the same message all the other transfers are getting from home.  Bad parenting or bad influencers.  Quitters will keep quitting.
