Rigged upvote/downvote post.
Came back later and point total is the same. Perhaps it is broken. I don't know how often or when points are tallied and updated into the accounts. Maybe it's in a sticky note or if not, it can be added to one by the Mods
Haven't noticed. Let me try here. I need 16 to get to the magic 100.
....lol, and you still need 16.
Yes and I stiil need them!
I was the 16th upvote in your comment what do I win
A big thank you from me and a hearty dose of self accolades for helping to test the points crediting of this site. Unfortunately neither will get you even a cup of coffee. And unfortunately for me, the points crediting feature is not working even a day later.
Looks like you still need them, even after the post by Seth saying they fixed the issue.
I'm also noticing when I go into a new post that I've never been in before, it shows that I've upvoted/downvoted certain comments even though that's the first time I've viewed that post
I believe this was addressed in the sticky. The thumb up down may just be randomly highlited but it did not cast your vote. I just came in this thread and a thumb up was highlited. I upvoted it and it did register it.
Does complaining about the site help? I'm asking for a friend.
Oh, if only the mods had the capability to actually fix things on the site....
I have some ideas, if that day ever comes.
look! up in the air!
(different voice) where!?
there!
what is it? is it a bird? is it a plane?
no! it's HUEL, blog killer!!!
(this comment if for attempted comedic consumption only. please don't base any defamation case off of it....)
The definition of defame (which the new site won't allow me to copy and past anymore) is "to damage the GOOD reputation of someone or something. To libel or slander "
I think you're safe here.
In the "good old days" before MGoBlog 3.0, you would've been able to edit your comment, but that's in the PAST when MGoBloggers easily could both (a) copy and PASTE and (b) EDIT our comments.
I've never been on a board that required the user to download an image/gif/vid to their hard drive in order to apply it to a message post. No post editing, points broken (again), endless white space, massive header that looks like something from myspace, never ending scrolling, only get 1 - 2 posts viewable on screen, can't tell what is new vs old posts, message settings that don't stay applied, can't access your account and password/login issues still happening after two months. All of this and still no front page communication regarding user questions/issues from anyone associated with this laughable disaster.
In what world did anyone from the blog or Human Element think that their efforts had produced something that was ready for go-live deployment?
Thanks for taking up my entire screen with your screed!
"Go-live deployment" in the case of MGoBlog 3.0 seems more like DEAD ON ARRIVAL.
Do points make reading this blog more fun?
Ok, lets focus on that instead of the other litany of issues that many of us have described.
But I will admit, negging you is an added bonus.
No, but being able to downvote your whining on this blog sure does.
Never understood the obsession with fake internet dollars. Points aren’t in the top 5 issues with the new site yet there is a post about them daily.
If ther’s a post about them daily, they are the #1 issue on the site.....just maybe not to you.
Beat ND!
It appears that osu had paid Russian hackers to take over this site
