All I can say is offensive rebounds can be awesome. Dakich was saying all night it would bite OSU and sure enough it did. Nice gutty win for the men in blue and now it's time to rest, practice, get better, and get ready for a stretch run through the end of the year whenever that is moving forward.

I know I'm looking ahead and I'm not losing sight of anything we can still accomplish this year, but damn give Walton and Irvin a full offseason....MY GOD!!!
We'll need that cold-blooded approach from Walton going forward. Has there been a freshamn pg playing better than him since conference play started (aside from Ennis)?

What a lame crowd. Quietest road arena in the Big 10 so far. What do you expect in the worst state ever?

I love this team!
Someone bang me please!

Happy for GR3, he and the team needed that 3 so badly. Hopefully he can build off of that!

Freshmen Walton looks a lot like Freshmen Burke and I like it. (Not that I think they are equal...they just looked very similar as Freshmen in my opinion)
February 11th, 2014 at 11:40 PM ^
The great thing is that he isn't expected to carry the same sized load we asked Burke to two years ago.

Burke scored double digits in every "major" road game he played in as a true freshman. If you want to fairly compare though, you also need to include Duke and Iowa State, where Walton, where he was decent, but not as great as we are seeing now. Ultimately, happy for both guys, but we have to remember what Trey Burke was working with as a freshman too.

Craft was total Burke-kryptonite, remember?
Walton is Burke's vindication.

I digress... Walton is like a warm blanket. Total stud at the pt. TEN rebounds. Wow
And LeVert may be the best all around player we have even including Nik and Mitch

That game wasn't even on TV. I remember being glued to the radio listening to it in my bedroom.
When they made the return trip to Crisler a couple weeks later, we gave them a pounding and luckily, that one ended up being televised.

Idk man, unless my memory is messed up I remember watching that game when I was in 3rd grade. Without looking up the score I think we won something like 85-70.
February 12th, 2014 at 1:47 AM ^
we hadn't won in Columbus in about 20 years?
Congratulations on your upcoming graduation!
heh

My wife actually attended the Jan 2003 game; she was in Columbus working on a consulting project and that was one of their rare social outings. She was the only one in the group who enjoyed the game's result. Since that time, she changed jobs and has worked at the "new" place for over 10 years, we've moved, and have two children.

Oh, Aaron Craft. How nice it must be to be you. You can take 4 steps with the ball multiple times and never get called for a travel. You can plow right into Horford and have the foul called on Horford. AND you have one beautiful air ball.
If that's the last time we play you, it's the best possible outcome. In your own arena in front of America's worst fan base, a double digit loss. It fits you well.

Last time Michigan BBall won @ OSU and @ MSU in the same season was the 1996-97 season. I think we all remember the ensuing Michigan Football season... Go Blue!
