MGoCoordinator Presser Questions
I have no idea if there is a presser tomorrow, I can only assume.
That said, this is me being sneaky/selfish and begging Heiko or another reporter/blogger who attends to REALLY dig in to get an update on the guys that are redshirting.
We haven't heard ANYTHING about them this year and I assume they're all practicing.
Who would be playing if they didn't want to burn the redshirt? (last year we heard about Drake Johnson). Who is showing promise? Most improved? ANYTHING.
We're all looking towards the future and it's going to be a loooong offseason if we don't have some speculation to go overboard with.
What questions/topics does everyone else have?

...I don't see how it would end any different. You're going to have the sarcastic people who think they're funny, the frustrated people who need to chill and the people who really would like to see a version of their question answered.
I've had at least 3 of my questions asked almost verbatim. Twice by Heiko and once by Chantel.
Coincidence? Maybe, or maybe they read the blog and say "hey...not a bad question, I'll reword it and do some digging on this topic."
Everyone complains about the questions that are asked...this gives people an opportunity to ask their own, and maybe, just maybe someone in the room will have read this and will agree that it is a good question.
Move along.

Heiko's done...

I'm with this guy. I mean I have seen it mentioned that he was done but was there any post about this or anything because I must have missed it.

He's going on to follow his other passion of becoming a doctor. This was his last season writing for the blog and going to pressers, but I thought he might still be around for the bowl game.

I got to this late, but good for him. That's pretty awesome.

Will his departure affect JP, Crawford or other recruits? /JK, thanks Heiko! GO BLUE!

Or it could have had the opposite effect and they ran even less bubbles (or delayed deploying them) because they didn't want to "give in" to Heiko; and thus acknowledge Heiko et al. was right after all

Coach, Michigan finished the season averaging 33.8 pts/game. That's the highest average scoring output Michigan has had since you and Hoke arrived. It's a higher scoring average than any team Rich Rodriguez fielded at Michigan. It's also a higher scoring average than any of Lloyd Carr's teams dating back to 2004. You were the OC for Michigan's highest scoring season in a decade, since 2003, when Michigan averaged over 35 pts/game.
How the hell is that possible? I mean, uh...What's the secret to your success?

Also, Indiana.
I'm guessing 2, multiple overtime games didn't hurt either.
December 17th, 2013 at 8:09 AM ^
I don't know the numbers, but it felt like we had a pretty high variance this year. Scored a lot of points in a few games the brought up the average, but also put very few points on the board in other games. The average is probably also impacted by the seemingly large number of OT periods involved.
December 17th, 2013 at 9:18 AM ^
That's actually more intriguing than the average of 33.8 points. The standard deviation is 16.44 points, so the variance was considerable. Actually, normalizing the values, you find only 2 performances (CMU and Indiana) where we were above the mean by more than 1 standard deviation, as well as two (MSU and Nebraska) were we were more than 1 standard deviation below the mean.

Can you find #1 Creepy Michigan Guy on the Internet This Week and make him stop?

He's creepy because he's posing next to that guy who's wearing jeans that are older than he is.

Some people just don't understand sarcasm...
December 17th, 2013 at 12:15 PM ^
Yeah, for example, guy who comments that other guy doesn't doesn't understand sarcasm, doesn't understand sarcasm, or what he has read.
December 17th, 2013 at 6:13 PM ^
OH, *now* I get it... yeah, try to put yourself in this guy in the jeans' shoes... he's minding his own business, getting a vanilla-bullshit-frapcat-halfcap-doublefrap-latte and this dude in M swag comes up looking for a picture. it's like, .... really?

According to MGoBlue, the only scheduled items for this week were Hoke's presser, which was yesterday and is available here, the bowl practice report (here) and the upcoming episode of Inside Michigan Football. I could be wrong, but I believe that they are normally listed here if they are going to occur.

Really surprised this is deemed threadworthy.

Isn't the point of being able to neg people now that we don't have to have any more discussions about whether things are threadworthy? You don't like it, neg it.

Lighten up Francis, it's the off-season. Soon we'll be innundated with threads about video games and basketweaving. Enjoy the football talk while it lasts.

...it's postworthy?
