I mean, he could have at least TOLD us, since he KNEW and all(!)
September 25th, 2013 at 12:44 PM ^
He foresaw doom and has since saved himself and left us behind.

He's dead, you damned fool. By his own hand. He saw our future. Chose the least undesirable outcome. Stock up on batteries and bottled water. Minnesota will be the bellwether.

Dammit... can't get that stupid WLA cadence out of my head, brothers.

I never warmed up to the knowledge. It just seems like a guy without any particular knowledge using an annoying shtick to make often-wrong predictions.
September 25th, 2013 at 12:33 PM ^
Agreed. I think it's cheesy.
September 25th, 2013 at 12:34 PM ^
"Without any particular knowledge" hahahahahahaahahhahahhahhaahaha
September 25th, 2013 at 12:37 PM ^
Just because there's a cosmic flux doesn't mean he wasn't right at some point before the universe shifted slightly.

I always suspected the Knowledge was Brian himself, fulfilling every blogger's subconscious fantasy: to anonymously troll his/her own blog.
September 25th, 2013 at 1:42 PM ^
This is what I always thought as well, and really, if you have a blog that is as large in scope as this one is now, why not see it like your users see it now and again and invent a shtick to boot?
I also got a kick out of how it spawned a parody account that makes pretty amusing appearances in close proximity to THE_KNOWLEDGE, and this would be THE_IGNORANCE.
September 25th, 2013 at 10:20 PM ^
I didn't. Brian's thing is being smart, witty, humble, and genuine. I thought The Knowledge was the opposite of those things...cheesy, dumb, and needy for attention. It was cute during the haloscan days, but got real boring real quick, especially with all the hero-worship going on here and auto-negs for anyone who dared criticize him (haha, go ahead, neg me now you Knowledge worshiping suck ups!). In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the original Knowledge was a different dude and this guy stole his shtik.
September 26th, 2013 at 10:55 AM ^
But that's kind of the point. With "The Knowledge," Brian could put on a different cap and act totally out of character, without harming his reputation. (I don't mean this as any sort of accusation; I think it'd be pretty funny if it's true.)
September 25th, 2013 at 1:08 PM ^
is to be humorous (which you apprently don't think he is), not to be knowledgeable or right, then I would suggest to you that having his predictions be "wrong" isn't really the point.

No, he is a fifth-dimensional being who sees multiple timelines simultaneously. This allows him to see multiple possible outcomes to any season.

where instead of hiring Greg Robinson, Rich Rodriguez hired Greg Mattison to be his DC. We won the Rose Bowl last year after dominating performances over Ohio State, Nebraska, and Notre Dame. Only the last-second FG loss to Alabama kept us out of the NC game. RR is by now completely accepted by the Michigan faithful.

T_K knew this post would come up, knew that the fan base would waiver, knew that the team would experience growing pains.
Yes.

I always thought it was because we're missing out on Blue Seoul's MS Paint post-game analyses. I mean, how else is our coaching staff supposed to make coaching fun for the kids?

How did this thread not start with "commence"?

I don't really have strong feelings one way or another towards most posters, but I love the knowledge!

If T_K had looked back at the future and delivered unto us the reality of 4 - 0 with a comfortable win over ND and 2 sad performances (but wins) over Akron and UConn, who amongst us wouldn't have taken it over the uncertainty that awaited us without T_K's furturelivingthing.

He posted this a few months before the season but that is the last we heard from him. So far we are on course more or less!
