You shouldn't have started your post by making fun of Sam Darnold. Kid looks like the real deal, and your "Darnold the Great, L-O fucking L" comment makes you look like a fool.

I like Nas. Never understood the beef he got into with Jay Z though.

Actually he's posted crap like this since the haloscan days, often some gibberish having to do with potato salad.

I like the matte part, but the chrome is shiny gold, which is nothing like maize.

03/28/2018 - 2:14am Love Vulfpeck!

I've had this song in my head ever since that game. So glad someone put this video together, and I love the way she did it!

Same here, but I do remember a great speech from him. Didn't know much about him at the time but he was an amazing and accomplished person, and his speech encouraged students to take risks and live their lives rather than just focusing on work and what society expects. I remember being frustrated that so many people had their cell phones out (in the early days of cell phones) and seemed to be chatting with others in the stadium. Was definitely a hot day but I thought it was an excellent address.

02/16/2018 - 10:28pm I love this post, and think

I love this post, and think it makes a lot of sense both for Amazon and Michigan.

This past season was full of pain and disappointment, but I really do think next year has the potential to be a special year. Top 5 defense, Shea eligibility seems likely, and I can't imagine the O line being worse. Not worried about RBs, WRs, TEs, or play calling.

I love stories of suffering followed by redemption. Magnolia is my favorite movie, and the Rilo Kiley "Better Son or Daughter" is my favorite sports video of all time. I have no interest in watching whatever was filmed in the last season right now, but if we have a good to great year next year (which I think is quite possible) this Amazon special will become my favorite thing ever.

01/23/2018 - 7:01pm Given the subject matter I

Given the subject matter I thought it was quite an engaging film, with plenty of heartwarming/inspirational moments. Not necessarily "enjoyable," but not entirely depressing either.

I'm a psychologist and have recommended this film to many of my clients who struggle with chronic health conditions, and there are plenty of lessons about gratitude, perspective, perseverence, and riding out difficult times/dealing with lack of control that apply to everyone.

01/14/2018 - 5:31pm As a psychologist I can't

As a psychologist I can't help but find this fascinating, but in all seriousness I really do hope WD gets some help.

Yeah, Honest Abe reminds me a lot of WD, Hatchett, and Horatio. All of them seem to like to comment on everything and upvote themselves/each other. Aside from the time WD helped to take down Brandon they never seem to have much to offer but sure do like attention.

Exactly. I tend to get a kick out of Brian giving Ed a hard time for being such a stubborn numbers guy, often out of touch with practical reality.

Is there some sort of prize you're going for by commenting first on more threads than anyone else? Is it called the WD Horatio Hatchett Lincoln Award?

Umm, does he haz wolves?

12/25/2017 - 3:33pm Definitely possible, but

Definitely possible, but given how the running game, WRs, and maybe even the OL (very slightly) have improved throughout the year, I think there's at least a 50% chance Peters has a great game and we blow them out. OSU would have been a very different game if we had a QB who could hit wide open receivers. I think if we had Peters we would have won that game.

On a side note, I'm wondering what happens to Patterson if Peters takes the starting job next year. If Peters starts and plays well next year he'll almost definitely be starting in '19. Shea probably doesn't have the credits to graduate early and take a grad transfer, and would then have to sit out a year if he does so? I'm really glad we have another bullet in the chamber and it should be a really interesting QB competition, but unless I'm mistaken about Shea's ability to transfer again it seems like it could end up being a bad decision for him to come here if he can't play...

I'm a fan of Fiddler, lasers, and wolves!

12/12/2017 - 3:41pm Good to know Peters should be

Good to know Peters should be in fine shape to transfer if Patterson wins the job and starts the next two years. Wondering what happens to Patterson if the situation is reversed. He never had a redshirt year. If he doesn't get the playing time he wants can he transfer again? Not sure about the rules on transfers, but I wonder if the Ole Miss thing would be a special exception?

I know he has NFL aspirations so just curious what his options might be if Peters/Dylan beat him out.

It's from some silly commercial. Not really worth knowing, and it will fade out and disappear in the coming months like the "whassuuuuup" catchphrase.

12/09/2017 - 4:17pm Seemed like most folks had

Seemed like most folks had given up on Zavier. Would have been nice to find one PG to stick with, but glad he had a breakout performance. Looks like we may have to go with the PG by committee a while longer and play whoever is hot.

Some of their schtick was quite brilliant. Also really miss Chunks The Hobo.

11/28/2017 - 3:55pm Man, if only we'd found a way

Man, if only we'd found a way to pull off that OSU upset, I'd be ready to pre-order the DVD right now despite having Prime. Would have been an amazing story of triumph over adversity and made the pain of the season worthwhile. Now it will likely be downright depressing, though there's a chance for a bit of redemption in the bowl game like we had against Florida in Lloyd's last year (assuming that's covered in the film).

10/28/2017 - 4:11am Steering-wheel mounted paddle

Steering-wheel mounted paddle shifter tips? Cool looking car and I bet it's fast as hell, but what a shame. If I was a multi millionaire I'd totally consider it if it was manual, but unfortunately I don't know how to drive an automatic.

08/09/2017 - 2:43pm This is my main concern. Hard

This is my main concern. Hard to imagine beating the best teams with a QB who consistently struggles with the deep ball, as they could just focus on taking away the short stuff. I'd love to think it was just the injury, but my concern is that he's just not a good deep passer. Early word from camp is that he's still struggling with it.

I live right by there! Decent food and amazing beer selection. Unfortunately I have to work until 7 :(

03/20/2017 - 1:17pm Thirsty Lion is the official

Thirsty Lion is the official alumni bar. It's not one of the hipper bars in town and feels pretty generic, but still has a good selection of beers and the food is decent. They'll have multiple tvs showing the game but the sound system is mediocre and sometimes it's hard to hear the announcers clearly.

03/16/2017 - 11:54am My fear is that CBS/March

My fear is that CBS/March Madness lawyers might prevent or take down a youtube video of the game because the tourney is such a big deal. I'm ok waiting but don't want to be SOL.

03/14/2017 - 4:03pm Lol, if I was a life coach

Lol, if I was a life coach and didn't have to worry about keeping my license I might go for it. This team has had quite a story of overcoming adversity, definitely inspirational!

But I'd also like to be able to get home after work and get a few drinks in me to manage my own anxiety about the game :)

03/14/2017 - 3:32pm Replays?

I'll have to work Friday, and as a psychologist I think it would be pretty rude to have the game on during my sessions.

I have cable login credentials but no DVR, and I've been able to watch a lot of Michigan replays through ESPN (on my apple tv) or BTN2Go (for some reason still no apple tv app). I'd love to be able to do the same through the March Madness website, app, or CBS Sports app. Anyone know if this will be an option? I've had a hard time finding info.

I also like that ESPN and BTN2Go have a default option to not show scores; would love to be able to watch Friday's game after work without spoiling the outcome.

03/13/2017 - 12:06am Replay available?

Shoot, I'll definitely have to be at work. Does anyone know if you can watch replays of games after they're done like you can on ESPN and BTN2Go (preferably with a "hide scores" feature)?

02/17/2017 - 3:55am Agree that Delany is

Agree that Delany is chickenshit, but also grateful he's not trying to publicly support the B1G. I don't think I've ever heard him make a cogent argument for anything.

02/12/2017 - 4:24pm This seems to happen every

This seems to happen every year. For some reason, Beilein teams seem to play tougher and better coordinated towards the end of the season. I think that's somewhat natural and common, but I think it's extra evident with Beilein teams. Definitely better than the alternative.

01/28/2017 - 5:21pm Really? I didn't know that

Really? I didn't know that was allowed. Do they give away the score in the title?

01/27/2017 - 7:04pm Streaming replay?

Anyone know how to watch this game after it's done (aside from DVR, which I don't have)? I'll be skiing Sunday but really wanna watch the replay Sunday night. ESPN and BTN let you watch replays on their apps, but I wasn't able to find replays on the CBS Sports app.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's definitely an annoyance, especially when looking for a thread that's a few days old. I'll never leave this site because of the writing/analysis and community, but that's something that should be fixed.

01/23/2017 - 1:11pm I wouldn't be surprised if

I wouldn't be surprised if MSU and other schools' doctors were willing to come up with post hoc medical conditions (due to pressure from the coach/AD), whereas UM's were not willing to make stuff up and didn't get that type of pressure from our admins. That's the only thing I can think of to explain the disparity...

11/19/2016 - 11:41pm Umm, Speight had some clutch

Umm, Speight had some clutch passes last year against Minnesota. Did O'Korn complete anything other than a couple of screens? Not a single throw impressed me, and that makes me really worried if Speight can't play next week.

11/19/2016 - 7:57pm Quarterback Whisperer is the

Quarterback Whisperer is the most important position right now. Don't know how much of Speight's lousy performance last week was due to injury vs. mental game, but it's clear O'Korn is easily rattled and struggling with confidence/patience. We have an amazing D that allowed us to beat IU, but we'll need some semblance of a passing game next week.

11/14/2016 - 10:09pm I'm definitely worried, but

I'm definitely worried, but at least an injury could explain why Speight was so off last game. No clear consensus on when the injury happened, but I'd feel a lot better knowing it was early in the game and was the reason for the bad throws. The alternative explanation, that Speight lost his confidence and was off because of that, is much more ominous for our future.
