USF fan's perspective on UTLII (Spoiler: It's Glowing)
Pretty great to hear from indifferent fans about the incredible atmosphere we have here.
"I've been to a lot of college towns and watched a lot of college football, but I have never seen or felt anything like I did in Ann Arbor last night."

so almost literally at the top of the bowl. How many rows are there? 98?

My seats used to be around 94, so 96 or 98 sounds right. I'm thankful every time I'm there though that my seats got moved to the first row years ago. Changes the experience completely.

"This was the non-USF portion of the trip so I'll try and keep the gushing to a minimum, but that game was a life-altering experience for a college football fan"

Brandon gets a lot of grief around here, and I'm no stranger to criticizing him from time to time, but this account is a testement to his marketing accumen.
UTL2 looked and sounded awesome on TV and I'm thrilled to hear it will be an annual thing.Hopefully we can line up some premier competition going forward to make it a kick-off classic type of thing where we get to keep all of the money.
I suspect there may even be a positive business case to offer some kind of a cut to big time opponents to attract them to sign up for a one and done ala the Jerry World experience, only better(doubtful but who knows). That may be a little unorthodox but I think it'd be a great way to replace ND and stick it to em a little bit.
Stanford or USC would be killer.

We only do regional rivals.

Not sure if that's sarcasm or not but regardless, I dont want a rival. I want a bigtime matchup for future UTL games. The exposure and street cred we get from playing high profile games early in the season is invaluable.

Are only done at Neutral sites or against lower teams. If we want the big boys, we need to schedule home and away's. I'm fine with this, as I would love to travel to some of the other college venues for contrasting game days.
Other thoughts:
1. I think that Michigan Stadium on saturday outdoes anything a pro football stadium can provide. It is outside, with the stars above you where football was meant to be played
2. The sideshow "gimmicks" melded perfectly with the game day experience from what I have seen. The halftime show with beyonce was huge, however, the main event was still the game. The airshow was both great and unexpected. I am guessing there were no races between a donut, bagel, and coffee during the game. (tip of the hat to DB)
3. The teams looked great in their classic uniforms. (again -DB)
4. I Love the look of the stadium. I am not a fan of tiers as I believe they don't look good. The continuous flow of Maize from Row AA to 90 and then to blackness just can't be beat. I also believe the lights are some of the coolest looking stadium lights on any stadium. I love the almost low profile look they give.

The UTL II game had to look even better (!!!) after a day at the East Lansing City Dump. I've heard that Purdue and Indiana have worse stadiums, but Sparty Stadium is the worst I've been to.
