Mid Afternoon Games Thread
SDSU @ OSU is the big game here. Oregon is currently in the first quarter at Virginia, as is Buffalo at Baylor. South Carolina v. Georgia kicks off at 4:30.
Miller is currently being attended to on the field, still early in the first quarter, 0-0 with OSU inside the red zone after a punt.

Central back in it, down 13-7 now. Come on and make our 50 pt win a little tiny bit more impressive plz!
September 7th, 2013 at 5:09 PM ^
Shaw rushes, Shaw gets sacked, and Shaw rushes again to get back to a smidge past the LOS. That was productive.
Still, Connor Shaw accounts for a little over half of South Carolina's 60 yards of offense at the moment.

Holy Face-Mask penalty.

Look Clowney did something. He pwned the LT.
September 7th, 2013 at 5:17 PM ^
South Carolina runs that qb draw way to frequently given Shaw's running ability
September 7th, 2013 at 5:18 PM ^
I kinda feel bad for Clowney...the firestorm from the media that the Smith hit created is so much pressure for anyone.
I mean he is a freaking DE for petes sakes, it seems like the media is expecting 3 sacks and 2 fumbles caused per game or something.

TOUCHDOWN Dawgs!
Apparently I'm rooting for them, didn't realize that until 10 minutes ago. I guess it's to bethe opposite of the hype-train. I like Mark Richt too.

Shorter versionn ESPN analysis: The only reason UGA jusrt scored was b/c Clowney was on the bench.
FUESPN!

Not a great start for South Carolina. Down 17-3.
September 7th, 2013 at 5:28 PM ^
Connor Shaw is like a slow Denard, so basically he's not that great of a QB.

the option. But osu is handing the start of the 2nd half to them on a platter with offensive penalties
September 7th, 2013 at 5:41 PM ^
How does one botch that snap. Terrible. Would love to get a close up of his face to see if it was Hagerup-like
...And Touchdown SC.
September 7th, 2013 at 5:41 PM ^
Wow. Special teams derp for Georgia.
A fumbled snap is recovered by the Gamecocks. They get it on Georgia's 18 yard line.
...and that didn't take long. One pass, six points....seven in a second.

damn UGA...so much for that hot start.

That was a quick turn around
September 7th, 2013 at 5:42 PM ^
South Carolina right back in it. Tie game.

Georgia is driving right down the field again.

Central pulls it out 24-21! Also, I'm not sure where New Hampshire is currently ranked, but they normally seem to be near the top of the FCS. May have been a halfway decent opponent for a MAC team.

South Carolina ties it up right before half time.
Going to be a wild second half, folks.

ohio's non-conference schedule only gets tougher next week, when they face a Cal team currently down 11 to Portland State.

That stadium is half full. IU's defense sucks.

Toledo will be fine in MAC season, but man, it's tough to win when you play @Florida and @Missouri in weeks 1 and 2.
September 7th, 2013 at 6:39 PM ^
Big turn of events, Shaw fumbles scrambling. Gawga threatening to punch one in again
Oh, and who here would like a replica of Todd Gurley?

This is why CFB is better than the NFL. Offenses our grandfathers witnessed are still being used.
Teams like Navy are what is right with the game.
September 7th, 2013 at 6:51 PM ^
the academies are as close to true "student athletes" as you'll find in D1.
September 7th, 2013 at 6:53 PM ^
Navy plays at Toledo and I get in free with student ID! I'm going to call Toledo gives up fewer points to Navy than Indiana does today.
