I think there's a tendency for people to lump "FCS" into a single bucket. There's every bit as much of a gap from top to bottom of FCS as FBS and there's plenty of overlap between the two. I think N. D. State would be quite competitive in the MAC or Sun Belt--the scholarship numbers and lack of depth would catch up with them over the course of the season but they'd have no trouble handling a UMass or a Kent St.

I mean the same call could or could not have been made on the Buffalo defender on a long pass.

Look, in this game, the Buckeyes have dominated as expected. But in the second half, they basically hung on. I thought they might the best team in the world after their torrid start. But then I realized that they had scripted all their early plays, and Buffalo was completely Buffaloed by their surroundings, first game jitters and just nervousness.

Miller demonstrates he will stay in the pocket and make throws downfield. So here is the reality, if you can't match the athletic ability of Ohio, you are in trouble. But that is their edge at this point. It's not based on experience or ability. It is based simply on talent, making better plays with better and more guys.

I love the Buckeye running game. Jordan Hall is a great runner. They have more depth than anyone in the league. And a good Oline.

At this point in the game, Miller has nothing to prove. Guiton is a terrific backup. I would put Guiton in.

I agree with you on every point but one:  I don't think the O line looked particularly good today.  Most of ohio's big runs came off of plays where everyone followed Miller and left the back largely undefended, or pass plays where everything broke down and Miller took off for 40 yards.  To be fair, this will happen some against even the better defenses, because of all ohio's talent.  But Buffalo blew up several plays today because ohio couldn't get key blocks made.  If I was an ohio fan, I'd be a little concerned.
