Official Depth Chart Released Tomorrow - Rivals Opines Today

Two 'shockers' in my opinion:

- No Derrick Green (he has to get carries at some point, though, right?)

- Channing '2 star' Stribling backing up Taylor at Corner

More opinion:

- Chesson overtakes Jackson by B1G play.

- LG and FS are our weakest positions, by far.

- RB has 'depth' but lacks anyone outside of Fitz (and Green when he is healthy / up to speed) who is a playmaker.

- Out of the 12 listed on the DLine, many play.  Taco gets the most snaps for anyone who is third at their position.

If Stribling really is that high, I think that's great for him (speaks more to his abilities than a lack of ability w/ Douglas or Lewis).  He has been shown several times in the CTK videos making plays.

Caveat, of course, that this is per The Wolverine's sources and does not in fact represent what will be posted tomorrow, officially.  I'd bank on a lot of "OR"'s as well.

I'm not sure how that applies to playing FS.  I mean Wilson was a part of the #7 recruiting class in the nation...ahead of 3/4 schools mentioned.  If you go by ESPN's recruiting profiles Wilson is more highly ranked than Sunseri. So, what does it matter where the program is?  We recruited a quality player, he is coached by one of the best defensive coordinators in the country, he had a really smart player in Kovacs to learn from, and he has the opportunity to play beside another guy with a lot of experience in Thomas.  What more does a guy need to succeed?

I generally agree with this sentiment, but I should remind you that we haven't seen Wilson play yet this year.  If Wilson becomes the new Stevie Brown this year, then we should probably be concerned.  If he is otherwise competent and makes maybe one or two mistakes a game, then he's probably on track.  I, for one, think that people are overreacting a bit to the bowl game UFR.

Not thread worthy but anyone see that high school coach hit his QB in the head on the sideline?, (game is on ESPN) That coach needs his ass beat. What a chump.

Yea it is ridiculous. The fact that we couldn't get any kind of push and that Devin had to run for his life the whole game against Central Michigan is not a good sign.

Oh, wait a minute! We haven't even played a game or seen anything but bits and pieces in super zoomed close up video snippets online! Lets wait a week or two before we get all Debbie Downer guys.

Lol, wut? Its a matter of parts and wholes. He described a 'situation' that was a whole, of which Lewan is a part. But the whole is usually something different from the individual parts. Hence, the whole Oline as a whole can be a depressing situation (though I dont agree it shoudl be) even if some of its parts are pleasing.

Two very very large human beings play LG, I have plenty of confidence in both. RB-Many will be surprised that it will be Smith and not Green who will emerge as the #2 option to Fitz. Green still dances and tries to bounce outside, Smith is a Timmy B throwback.

Watch and see. Similar size, similar body lean while running, always falls forward, great finisher. I watched the same clips as the rest of the world, go back and watch Green get bounced outside by Willie Henry in the 1st scrimmage. Anyways, I hope Green wins a heisman, but I really like Smith. This info has been shared on other sites as well, that if we start the season today, Fitz #1, followed by Smith.

Meet David Fangupo, Hawaii's newest running back....

Yeah, that's 350 pounds of pure awesome with speed to boot....

Yet, even with great speed for somebody over 100 pounds overweight, I'm guessing he doesn't possess Green's 4.4 (?) speed.

Green will be fine....
