The South Carolina game had so many what ifs - one wrap up tackle, one less fumble, one etc...Yes, the SEC teams have won many games this year, but the notion that any conference is dominating another is pretty untenable.
Even if Louisville completely gags this game away, any notion of "dominance" should be put aside.
"This is why they play the game...:

I can't decide which analyst I hate more--Spielman or Millen. And they had Tebow on the pregame show. Why must you forever troll me ESPN?

For whatever reason he seems to struggle controlling his emotions.

This is it. TD or FG, this is it. Running clock, still throwing effectively...making UF look like complete chumps.
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:04 PM ^
Another missed Louisville FG. I'd rather bite into a raw beet than go back to that era of special teams at Michigan.

Louisville desperately trying to let Florida back in it.
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:08 PM ^
They just ran 8 minutes off the clock...Florida getting "back in it" would necessitate them a) scoring quickly and b) getting stops.
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:09 PM ^
That was an awesome play by the safety...I wish ours could do that
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:10 PM ^
Wow, the Florida offense is awful. If you can stop the run or get up on them they have no answer at all.
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:19 PM ^
Alright...20 points down and 15 minutes of regulation play left. Brent Pease (Florida OC) has Louisville right where he wants them, right?
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:20 PM ^
Florida still needs 2 scores even if they get a TD here. Louisville has been doing a good time of killing the clock.
Why does Driskell suck so much?

Charlie Strong...this is a bad idea.
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:52 PM ^
Did Louisville set some kind of a record by scoring in the first play from scrimmage of both halves? I've never seen that before. It's got to be a bowl record at least.

Coaching Genius.
Right now, somewhere in Texas, Mack Brown is laughing.

Hopefully the SEC will be semi fairly ranked next season. You start them off with 5-6 teams in the top ten let them play a weak non conference schedule and then drop them 1-2 places when they get blown out by 40-50 points and then act surprised when they perform like they have in the bowls.
Nebraska and Michigan where mediocre teams and took Georgia and SC to the end... Michigan should have won. LSU got beat by Clemson , Mississippi state got beat down by NW and now Florida ia getting smacked by Louisville. Hopefully ND lays a whipping on Alabama and we can put this SEC dominance to rest for atleast one year.
I just wonder where the bandwagon 'SEC" fans will go..... Nevermind i answered my own question. They'll just go back to being ND fans
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:58 PM ^
I was with you up until you said ND whipping Bama. I will never be on board with a ND victory, especially in the National Championship game. Lets go Bama!
January 3rd, 2013 at 12:18 AM ^
It took a lot of soul searching to pick who i was pulling for. I can put with ND fans a lot easier than I can put up with SEC fans right now. Plus if they win then we get to beat the defending national champions next year
January 2nd, 2013 at 11:57 PM ^
What will the ESPN/media narrative be? Big East dominance? The fall of the SEC? Charlie Strong, who turned down the Tennessee job, deals another blow to the conference he spurned?
If only...

Tide repeat National Championships, duh

The impossibly difficult grind of the SEC left Florida with nothing left in the tank for tonight. One month of recovery isn't enough.

You've gotta appreciate a sideline reporter who shoves his way in between a coach and the family he's trying to hug in order to ask a few meaningless questions.

Similar to yesterday evening after the Rose Bowl. It seemed David Shaw (Standford HC) was trying to celebrate and the sideline reporter was pulling the "Coach, you have an obligation to talk to me" card so he stopped for a minute and answered her question. He then proceeded to kind of walk away and be with his team and coaches, why he would want to do that after winning the Rose Bowl I have no clue, and she again tried to keep him by pulling the aforementioned card. Mussberger pipes in from the booth stating that "the winning coach know before hand and is contracted into giving an interview post-game" blah blah blah. Shaw is again pulled in, after, as Mussberger lets us know, "someone must have told him the circumstance and obligation" and answers her next couple shi**y questions. It's all such a crock. I personally don't need to hear what they have to say. If networks want to have their cameras and watch a bit of celebrating that is fine. But that is exactly what they should be doing, celebrating, and not giving dull, inane interviews with fuggin' sideline reporters.
