Seems adidas has made better jerseys this year as the ND away jerseys aren't coming apart upon being touched.

Coughed up the ball inside own 35.
And Touchdown Utah State.... maybe... flag down.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:17 PM ^
I root for anyone playing Moo U. Sorry, but I cannot keep it "in conference" where integrity challenged douchebags like Dantonio is concenred.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:29 PM ^
This has never made any sense. Why do we use the agricultural aspect of MSU as an insult?
September 15th, 2012 at 9:38 PM ^
I don't know... maybe the same way Moo U. uses a retail reference to Walmart?
and why does it matter? Are you making sure I insult them in a cogent manner???
September 15th, 2012 at 9:17 PM ^
8 in the box, daring MSU to pass. Maxwell cannot pull it off. Going to be a long night if they cannot do something through the air.

I don't know why we're not seeing more Bell.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:18 PM ^
Utah State scored on a fade route to the right corner with man coverage. 14-3 :29 2Q.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:18 PM ^
29 seconds left in the half
Was Wisconsin supposed to be this bad this season? I'm shocked.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:21 PM ^
Good riddance. Hate Wisconsin and Bielema. They were fortunate not to lose their first game against Northern Iowa.

So you're saying Penn State is the favorite to win the Legends division w/ Ohio ineligible.
Or this could be Indiana's year!
September 15th, 2012 at 9:24 PM ^
Indiana trails Ball State 17-14 late in the 2nd quarter.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:25 PM ^
They're both eligible to win the regular season division title.
Neither is allowed to go to the B1G championship game.

Lol, ND defensive lineman hurt hus knee celebrating (laughing how he hurt it, not that he hurt it).
September 15th, 2012 at 9:24 PM ^
Bell is MSU's entire offense, both running AND receiving. The only passes Sparty can complete are horizontal, i.e., glorified running plays. Every time Maxwell drops back, ND is all over him.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:26 PM ^
can get to him too?
September 15th, 2012 at 9:34 PM ^
Unfortunately, I think that MSU is going to be run the ball against us better than they're running against ND. Mattison is going to have to come up with some magic to get MSU to go away from Bell, which is their obvious weakness. Then, when they do, Mattison is again going to have to blitz the crap out of Maxwell as he doesn't seem to pass well when he's pressured. I think we're going to have to take a lot of chances on defense, hope they hit, and that the offense is efficient.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:24 PM ^
As big as those two plays by that ND DL (#91) were, how stupid would it be if he just blew out his knee by jumping and stomping into the ground.

Three straight plays that ended up in interceptions. Not three straight drives or three straight passes. Three straight plays. Barkley int, Stanford int, Barkley int.

Sheldon Day's knee buckled pretty good as he was celebrating. I'd guess an MCL strain or worse. Possibly good news for the good guys.

September 15th, 2012 at 9:27 PM ^
If nothing else, MSU can provide just enough protection and drive itself to the outer edges of FG range when faced with a defense that can bring pressure. The Spartan offensive line is very much responsible for Maxwell's -18 rushing yards.

Here is your liars....I mean leaders division breakdown.
illinois- They got killed by a below average at best PAC-12 team
indiana- They're indiana
penn state- See: any major news site
ohio- The criminals are ineligible
purdue- Mustache
wisconsin- See: Big Ten Network right now

Good thing we went with non-geographical, "balanced" divisions.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:28 PM ^
I think ND's DL is actually pretty good. A point I hope Borges sees and takes very seriously. I really don't think we're going to be able to line up and run the ball against them, at least based upon what we've seen from our run blocking thus far. I think we're going to have to come out passing, and passing, and passing. Then, getting the run going. I think the same thing goes for the MSU game.

I agree. I hope that DC's are getting a bit more nervous about going up against the "new-and-improved" passing Denard with his new Double Headed Devin toy -- they're BOTH a mismatch. Also, we saw Denard tuck-and-run today twice, and one went for a sick, nasty, amazing TD. I hope ND's DC watches that and craps his pants. Let them stack the box and come after him.

Gholson looks solid.

Most QB's don't fair well on interception return coverage
September 15th, 2012 at 9:36 PM ^
I meant to refer to the ND quarterback. Golson==gold helmet, Gholson==green helmet.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:41 PM ^
Golson = Gold Helmet
GholsTon = Green Helmet

September 15th, 2012 at 9:41 PM ^
Damnit, I suck.
September 15th, 2012 at 9:30 PM ^
The big advantage right now for ND is their receivers. They've bailed out Golson a few times, while MSU's receivers haven't done a struggling Maxwell any favors.
