Dee Hart Transfer Rumors-Michigan Potential Destination
In the past hour rumors have been swirling on twitter about Dee Hart potentially transferring. This tweet from @UMGoBlog was the first one I found that wasn't some sort of retweet;
Rumor: Dee Hart named 4th RB @ Bama. Considering transferring to AUB/FLA/MICH.
Now I don't know how much validity there are to these rumors, and I don't know how reliable UMGoBlog is, but this is interesting if true.

That seems a bit extreme.

I would like to let the idea of either of them coming to Mich die, if that's what you mean...

Only if Dee Hart is a packaged deal with HaHa.

LOL I doubt he comes here. Completely different from when he was being recruited.

FWIW... googled Dee Hart Transfer...
This stuff came from message boards, don't take it as gospel... but... Jesus
First thing that pops up,
Rumor floating that Bama LB Xzavier Dickson was breaking into cars, broke into Hart's.
Hart tried to fight him, Dickson beat him down, Hart comes back at him with a knife.
Its shameful that a lot of our guys were blazing before a game, but this is like on another planet. Like Football and the Streets down there or something.
I hope this didn't happen, esp if he plans on coming to Michigan

Alabama's starting LB is breaking into cars and this is widely known to the football team, yet Saban keeps it all hush hush. Don't know about the rumors per say, but this, so far, is believable.
I am just waiting for the day where some kid is fed up with Saban's favoritism (kind of like what came out about Urban after he retired from UF) and decides to tell all. Then hopefully the whole fabric of the SEC unravels and the NCAA somehow grows the balls to actually do something about it.

is that one of Dicksons friends broke into Harts car. The knife part is 100 percent not true. There was an altercation between Hart and Dickson though. Hart was almost not welcomed back this year.

If he opted to transfer to Michigan, I'd welcome him. But I'm not sure we'll need him. He's going to want to go somewhere where he has a good chance to start. Maybe he'd get that here, but I think he'd get buried behind Rawls and Hayes anyway. Plus, he'll be facing some pretty stiff competition from Deveon Smith, Wyatt Shallman, and if Green commits, I think Hart will have 0 chance to play.
He should consider Florida. Its not like they have much of an offense to speak of these days.

this is not happening. Green is the priority.

I'm hoping he goes to Auburn to help push Derrick Green to us.

Well I don't want to say we told you so Dee, but we told you so.

Sad, yet almost poetic if true. Hart shafts Michigan for Alabama, who in turn shaft him. Well we have limited roster spots available. Hypothetically, which #1 running back would you rather have, would you take Dee Hart back, or sign Derrick Green?

and a mighty fine ship it was. I hear the waters are calm in Arizona.

It would be nice to finally see Hart make it to Ann Arbor, but Florida presents a lot bigger opportunity for him right now. By next year, Michigan will be loaded at RB, while Florida, despite Muschamp's declaration of a "stable" of running backs, doesn't have anyone who is really tearing it up.
It's a lot closer to Orlando, too.

Not sure if that's important to Mr. Hart, but maybe it is.
(That's quite a knee brace.)

I dont think he is 4th on the depth chart either. I think he is second. Fowler has been practcing with H-Back and seems like he will stay there other than short yardage and goalline stuff. Yeldon will be a beast, but the staff isnt confident in his pass protection like they are with Hart.
If Hart leaves Bama, after what Saban did to keep him on the team last year, I dont think it will be by Harts choosing.
If he does leave the team, Auburn and Florida wont be options for him.
August 21st, 2012 at 2:59 PM ^
If his top-3 is indeed Florida, Auburn, and Michigan, he needs a new top-3. Doubtful Saban would let him transfer within the SEC. And unless he's thinking about transfering after Week 1 of this year, then Saban won't let him transfer to Michigan either ... since, you know, we are gonna play each other.
When is he thinking about transfering?
August 21st, 2012 at 3:09 PM ^
There no evidence that he is thinking of transferring. Your choice of real verb tense makes no sense. Based on the evidence, Hart will finish his career at Bama - end of story.
August 21st, 2012 at 5:53 PM ^
A) REALLY?! I seriously doubt that.
B) Am I the only person here who thinks that someone who wants to transfer their soph year just because they're not starting, and said that he went to Bama b/c Saban would get him ready for "the league"...
...am I really the only person here who doesn't think this kid has his priorities straight? Am I the only one who hopes we get as few football factory assembly workers as possible at Michigan?
I really hope I'm not the only one who thinks that kids who want only to play pre-professional ball and use a university as a cover can go elsewhere.
If you're not interested in a degree, a winged helmet, and a fair shot, there are plenty of other schools out there for you.
C) Man...I am getting old before my time if I'm having to defend this kind of position.
