Ahh the pearly whites make it so much better.
You go to Millard North? Nice.
Road trip? I've heard numerous people say how awesome away games are in your city. I think I'll try to check it out myself. I heard I will drink free if I wear Michigan gear...
Won't see me complaining. I'll see y'all in Lincoln...wearing Maize, of course. Football fans here in corn country are still smarting from last year. Hope you all make it out to the heartland. Husker fans' tears taste delicious.
Pardon me for raining on the parade, because I am extremely excited for this upcoming season and seasons to come, but these three games are all very loseable games. I can't stomach the thought of the national beating we will take in the media if we lose all three games in primetime...I hope (and think) its not going to happen, i'd be glad to take 2-1... but damn, those are some tough games!

Wow, what a balanced home and away schedule. You guys need a neutral site game.
Hope your guys don't look past Ohio to the Hey Give Us Back The NU Name Classic :P

Damn thats tougher than our gauntlet last year of @osu, Mich, Wisc, @Neb. . What would you be satisfied with through those 6 games?

Welcome to the B1G, again.
Nebraska has some of the best fans in the country. They strike the perfect balance between devotion to their team and classiness toward their opponent. Their fanbase alone is a huge reason why Nebraska has been such a great addition to the conference.
What I meant was that they're fanatically devoted to their team but classy towards their opponents (in my experience, anyway). That's rare for a big time football program.
So... this makes that game that much harder to win.
At least I'll be able to get some yard work done on Saturdays this year. Mowing the lawn after 4 or 5 beers sucks win or lose.
always cut the grass before the game!

Wow! Five primetime games in a year. Alabama, Notre Dame, Nebraska, BTCG, and the NCG.
Why are we playing Northwestern in Lincoln?
/s
April 23rd, 2012 at 10:45 PM ^
It was decreed that the winner of the Nebraska-Northwestern game shall retain the NU until it is taken from the loser in a subsequent meeting, thus, we have been informed tonight that we are playing Northwestern at night in Lincoln this year
NIGHT GAMES PLEASE!!!

I think Nebraska joining the Big Ten was a win for everyone involved. We won't discuss academics, but Nebraska football tradition and fanbase, is a perfect fit for the conference. Glad to have Nebraska in the conference.
I actually think Nebraska got hosed on being kicked out of the AAU. The AAU didn't give enough weight to their agricultural programs, and they couldn't include their medical school's research stats because it's technically a separate campus. Frankly, I'm a little embarassed that Michigan was one of two Big Ten schools that voted to kick them out (Wisconsin was the other). Northwestern voted to keep them, and we're no better than Northwestern.

Cool. An evening game means I can drive out Sat. morning (7 hour drive), party in Lincoln after the victory, and drive home the next day. Never been to a Nebraska game before, but I'm looking forward to it.

Someone's gotta tell Brandon to stop scheduling neutral site games. Not only are we playing in Texas, but now we have a neutral site game in Nebraska.

Why don't Nebraska fans use UNL? serious question. same with kansas fans using KU and not UK?
April 23rd, 2012 at 11:22 PM ^
If you ask someone where they go to school, they will tell you UNL. Helps differentiate between UNO and UNK (Omaha and Kearney). Most of the time in the Nebraska media they are referred to as the Huskers or Big Red.

I think it's a Big 8 thing. The University of Colorodo calls themselves CU, the University of Oklahoma calls itself OU, and as you mentioned that the University of Kansas calls itself KU.
"Why should we have to change? They're the ones that suck."

They get me so pumped for the season. I just hope ticket prices to this game don't creep up too much. They have been slowly dropping on stubhub for the last month. With a Night Game looming, the $180 they are going for now might be the floor.
We are also playing @Purdue at 4:00 PM, which isn't exactly a night game but we can still be tourtured by having to wait a while to watch the Maize and Blue play.
just drive down there (if you're within 7-8 hours away. Tickets are cheap!
What if I live like 17 hours away. Then, what do I do?
