Scrimmage highlight video; Play of the day
Mgoblue posted a video today from spring practice of a 40 yard bomb from denard to jeremy gallon... not sure whether I should be excited about our WR's, or apprehensive about our secondary..
Youtube won't let me embed it, so here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDAS2guwFbE&feature=youtu.be
Jeremy Gallon is a 10 foot tall man beast, apparently.
Jason Avant finally has a non imaginary ten foot friend!
shoulders as they run down the field. It was the least he could do after being arm-wavingly wide open for so many years and not every catching the damn ball when it was thrown to him.
this year I have full confidence in them. I wish this play could have been saved though... for say September 1st, October 20th, November 24th, January 1st
I think the mindsets of Karsch and Kovacs about the drama of that play vary pretty widely.
It's not like our secondary wasn't there to defend it, Gallon just made the play.
Also, he caught that over Talbott. If I had to guess, Floyd, Countess, Avery and perhaps one other will be on the field in that situation.
Gallon sure is effective for his size. Very good with his timing and jumping ability. Impressive little fella!
I liked seeing Ricardo down there at the end. I really hope he hope develops into a regular contributor. Sometimes it seems like he's been around forever, but then I just realized he's going to be a junior next year. I thought for sure he had redshirted.
Yup, redshirt sophmore this year.
I'm happy to hear that, especially cause it jives with my memory. Not sure why he's listed as a junior on mgoblue though:
80 | Ricardo Miller | TE | 6-4 | 234 | JR |
Orlando, Fla. (Dr. Phillips) |
Although that's not the school he graduated from either so maybe it's just a mistake. Unless he has one of those Devin Gardner type redshirts.
Fond memories, always.
Were we the most freaking charmed team last year or what?
I love YouTube arguments in the comment section
Haha. Great catch. Don't think it says too much about the secondary though. No way are they gonna hit Gallon while he's in the air like that in practice. 10:1 odds they force an incompletion if that happens in a game.
Thats a good point. Makes sense.
Gallon cloaking device engaged.
Did anyone else notice how much higher Denard jumped than Gallon during their chest bump at the end?
i liked how much time Denard had to allow Gallon to get down field to have a shot at that play. Seems to be getting pretty good protection. He will need that in Dallas. Also, on the chest bump it appeared he wouldve still had been going up if he hadnt made contact w gallon!
