It seems like Mike Farrell has been clamoring about Pipkins for a while and must have gone to work to get him that 5th star. I mean, Pipkins did the real work by winning over Farrell, but I mean in the meetings.

Oh and he's WELL AHEAD of Tommy Schutt.

be really about that. And buckeye fans will be really upset about that.  I'm not sure who's been following this saga on twitter, but a few lowlife buckeye fans have nothing better to do than to keep telling Ondre that he's "gonna get his 3 star [butt] grilled against THE Ohio State University."  I wonder how their MAC level O Line recruits are gonna do against his 5 star "I can keep up with Stefon Diggs in a race" 330 lb force in the middle...

Doesn't seem like the smartest thing to do. Ondre seems like the type of guy that would be further motivated by that stuff. If I was a commit with a Twitter account and my future rival's fans were talking shit to me, I'd totally print out those tweets and hang them over my room, in the weight room, wherever, just to motivate myself that much more.

Those Ohio fans are in for a world of hurt.

Has anyone seen any rumors about Pipkins and grades?  My buddy says on Power Mizzou (rivals premium site) that they swear he won't qualify.  However, he thinks it could just be sour grapes since Mizzou didn't get him.

He is one of 3 5* DTs in the updated rankings. Given that he is #14 overall (and the other DTs previous rankings), Pipkins could very well be the top DT in the nation.

Despite OSU's great recruiting run recently, we still have a higher ranked recruiting class than them on all 4 major sites. I love Hoke.

Instead of laughing, you should ask them why they think that.  Or what their definition is of oversigning.  We have 28 spots available, and per Big Ten rules, we're allowed to take 28 as long as at least three EE.  Three guys enrolled early, so we're good.

Generally, oversigning refers to teams that sign more guys than they have room for, and then make room between signing day and fall camp.  We are not doing that at all, in fact our numbers aren't even taking into account normal off-season attrition.

You should also tell your friend that from 2004-2006, MSU signed 31(!), 27, and 28 recruits, respectively.  Then ask him why oversigning is bad, but hypocrisy is A-OK.

Then again, Sparties aren't good with the whole logic thing, so maybe laughing is your best option after all.

Rivals is the odd man out on Wormley.  He's got 4* from Scout, 247, and ESPN (247 is real high on him).  He's also the second highest listed three star SDE on Rivals.  He may get the bump, but I doubt it.  Really doesn't matter though, he's got the stars from other sites.

Ojemudia has a lot farther to go, and I don't think he will get it, but he's kinda in the same boat as Wormley, where Rivals is the low end of the appraisals.  Interestingly enough, Jamal Lyles, who is a MSU commit and basically Ojemudia without the senior year dominance (same size, strengths, etc), is ranked as a four star, so it isn't like his tweener status would keep him from getting that fourth star.

AJ Williams was recruited as a TE but spent his senior year as a tackle.  He's not going anywhere, but he does have a four star from Scout.

In the end, most of the three stars Michigan is bringing in could have been four stars, and often are four stars to another site.

Adolphus Washington. So that makes two 5-star DL for our rivals down south. His comments about not being able to fail even if you try at OSU made me glad we didn't get him anyway. Plus, our D-line coaching trifecta >>> OSU coaches, which will hopefully give us the advantage.

<br>Anyone know if we are still in it with Banner who also got upgraded?

Mallett was #4, that's the highest we've had as far as Rivals goes back.

Other guys who were very high, but I don't know exactly:

Drew Henson and Justin Fargas.  Also, I believe Ricky Powers, Tyrone Wheatley and Touchdown Tim were all the top RB in the country the years they came out, which was three consecutive years.
