Isnt that the way it is supposed to be? B1G 2 and little 10. I think Neb will challenge us 2 out of 10 years while Wisky will challenge 3 out of 10 years.
Bring on the 10 Year War Part Duex. You talk about a bright and exciting future. Its great to be a Michigan Wolverine.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:24 PM ^
Man, OSU is really benefitting from the PSU implosion. I'm thinkin' they might be having their division locked up for the near future. Also, wondering if Pittman is now thinking "damnit"...that's a lot of good players at DE.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:25 PM ^
Hopefully lots of Mich-OSU championship games in the future.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:24 PM ^
Meyer is really capitalising on the PSU void, more so than anyone else.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:25 PM ^
I fail to see how this any different than most years with OSU, they always get talent. They definitely are benefitting from PSU's troubles.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:30 PM ^
It's not really. Just that they were sluggish, and no have made a lot of ground in a few weeks. They're really just now back to where they probably would have been anyway. I'm more concerned that UM finish strong and that we can keep up that kind of success in the years to come. It's always gonna be a bit tougher for us considering we aren't in a talent rich state who is the only big time program where people care about it more than the pro teams.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:26 PM ^
They also have a solid freshman DL class with Bennett, Hale, and Steve Miller. No doubt they will have great DL, We will have a good OL though.
December 18th, 2011 at 8:19 PM ^
cant wait for the matchups. UM OL vs Ohio DL,,, damn how can they get 5stars so fast
December 18th, 2011 at 6:26 PM ^
December 18th, 2011 at 6:28 PM ^
Not sure I understand. Nobody is "locked up" until after they send their LOI.
Word is, NCAA will announce on Tuesday or Wednesday.

they're like anyone else and are just trying to get the best possible recruits. Besides, you take a kid a highly touted as Spence whenever he wants to commit.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:31 PM ^
I assume the sanctions will come out before signing day in February. Weren't they expected within this week or next?
edit: beaten to the punch.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:27 PM ^
after everything that has happened OSU could end up with a higher rated recruiting class than us. The NCAA will give them a kiss and things will carry on as if nothing ever happened and Ohio hadn't cheated for the last 10 years.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:28 PM ^
I, for one, am extremely scared of how good their d-line will be. Three 5-star prospects within a few weeks? Anyone who says otherwise is just being unrealistic. This is probably the best d-line class in the nation. Thankfully we secured the best o-line.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:31 PM ^
Thankfully 3 of those D-line men are WDE as well.
December 19th, 2011 at 8:05 AM ^
Schutt is a tackle, Pittman, Spence, and Washington are both ends. They might all start at WDE but with their incredible talent and frames, I don't see a reason why two couldn't see the field at the same time. Spence and Washington for sure have the frame to move to SDE.

Definition of SCARED: thrown into or being in a state of fear, fright, or panic <scared of snakes> <scared to go out>
December 18th, 2011 at 8:54 PM ^
Didn't Florida just get like 3 5* D-linemen 2 years ago and people can still run the ball on Florida (a lot this year apparently). Talent is important but so is coaching. The guys on OSU's D-line this year weren't scrubs. We'll be ok
December 18th, 2011 at 6:30 PM ^
Oy. Just now holding out a flicker of hope that Urban is completely uninformed and the NCAA will come down hard, but no expectations.
December 18th, 2011 at 9:21 PM ^
I second the oy.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:31 PM ^
Well I am now convinced that ohio already knows they aren't going to get touched by the NCAA...really sad to be honest. Emmert will make sure nothing happens to his buddy Gee. Really sad that even in the ncaa money rules over ethics
December 18th, 2011 at 6:32 PM ^
That said "bring on urban he's not scary".
<br>
<br>Are you scared yet? Mildly concerned? Or are you still high as a kite thinking that urban to OSU was the best thing ever.
<br>
<br>In sum: URBAN +OSU=SCARY
December 18th, 2011 at 6:38 PM ^
We got Hoke, and we're recruiting just fine.
Bring it.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:46 PM ^
Completely agree with you (see my post below somewhere). WE ARE DOING GREAT IN RECRUITING. Everyone chill out.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:41 PM ^
OMG OSU HAS A GREAT RECRUITTING CLASSS!!! OH NOESS!! RUUNNNN!!!
Seriously, no one with a level head thought that Meyer will do bad. He will do good. How good is yet to be determined. But remember how Ohio always has great recruiting classes? This is nothing new. If Tressel hadn't left, the class would be even better. The difference is that UM seems to be getting it's own house into order after what seems like a very long time. I don't think we'll see another 10 year stretch of one team dominating. I think it's going to return more to the 10-year war years, and it's gonna be epic.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:49 PM ^
I like your style
December 18th, 2011 at 6:55 PM ^
That's he's going to win 10 of the next 10 years? When has Ohio State not been good, or talented? You'd have pissed yourself at the sight of Woody. Grow a pair.
December 18th, 2011 at 7:09 PM ^
I give this comment 5 stars. Out of four.
December 18th, 2011 at 7:17 PM ^
Have to beat the best to be the best. Bring on a great OSU squad every year to match up against our great teams and we'll be battle tested every year.
December 18th, 2011 at 7:49 PM ^
Urban to Ohio + Hoke= Big 2, little 10

December 18th, 2011 at 6:43 PM ^
HA! Family first? This coming from the guy that wanted to spend more time with his family, and that lasted less than a year? Wow. People are so gulible. Ohio has a lot of positives to sell recruits with, but I didn't think Meyer extoling family values was going to be one of them.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:45 PM ^
He completely ignored his family while at Florida and retired from there to be with his family then took a job at ESPN traveling all over the country, then last but not least he left his family again within a year to take the OSU job. Lots and lots of family values there.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:48 PM ^
Was the name of the woman he had the affair with while at Florida, not sure how he could have put Faith first....
I suppose the mom is talking about the faith book he keeps on the coffee table in his office for recruits to see.

Meyer is a recruiter not a coach. Wait until we start to get talent and develop it
December 18th, 2011 at 10:51 PM ^
There is no reason—none—that any Michigan fan should "fear" OSU with Meyer at the helm, but you're a total fool if you truly think that a guy who's 104-23 in ten years is not a damn good coach.
December 18th, 2011 at 7:01 PM ^
I just fell out of my chair.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:39 PM ^
December 18th, 2011 at 6:40 PM ^
Faith and family first from a guy who almost had as many arrests as wins at UF? I understand the guy can coach and that Ohio has always had a good* program, but how gullible are these recruits and their families? For such a big decision, do they really do any homework before choosing?
December 18th, 2011 at 6:42 PM ^
December 18th, 2011 at 6:42 PM ^
Please stop being scared of Urban Meyer. This is freaking Michigan and we also get top recruits. I'm not saying every Michigan fan is saying this, but I'm tired of some people being afraid of Meyer. We have a GREAT coaching staff (they proved it this season based on last year's team) and they will pull in the best of the best also. Let's just relax. Our 2012 class is ridiculously full of great talent, too. Last I saw, Scout or Rivals had us at number two and we still have a little less than two months to recruit. Ohio got to where they are by cheating, but now they're under the microscope (at least they should be) and will have to recruit without cheating.
Go Blue.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:54 PM ^
Hire threads. Most people on this site were like "urban sucks blah blah blah hoke is better"
<br>
<br>Which is fucking asinine. If you think that hoke is a better coach, has accomplished more at this current time in both of his and urban meyers careers you need to get your head examined and take off the maize and blue sunglasses
December 18th, 2011 at 6:56 PM ^
You are absolutely right, let's fire hoke and get someone better, no matter what he did this year. Hoke sux compare to Urban and he wont out recruit Urban, so let's just call it a day and get someone new.
December 18th, 2011 at 6:57 PM ^
Don't ever change.
December 18th, 2011 at 7:02 PM ^
Ohio has always had a good defense, good coaching and good recruiting classes; this is nothing new. If you'd rather have Urban Meyer as your teams coach, go buy an "Ohio" jacket from the OSU marching band, do an OH-IO cheer and then complain about Hoke being classless because he doesn't say "state".
I'll stick with our victory in The Game, our other nine wins and our BCS berth, along with our top-five class that Hoke has put together in the past eleven months.
