Pre-game thread

It's early. I can't sleep and have decided to open a beer and fire up the skillet for a breakfast burrito to prepare for the noon kickoff. Any others out there that can't manage to sleep in? Go Blue!

Time for a beer. Nebraska people seem decent. Not too desperate like some of the folk we've had around here the last few years. Go Blue. Two of these wonderful days left. Enjoy everyone.

I am up early to hear the rundown on my young Husker relatives' night out in Ann Arbor. They hit the campus bars after we old folks went home. They said it was split evenly between people who said "Welcome to AA" and "F*ck Nebraska". They also said everyone seems real smart and uses big words. Lol. They were pretty psyched to see Suh out last night.

I just made and enjoyed a peanut butter chocolate and banana smoothie, home made at that. A quick note on Nebraska fans. My little sister is a server at a restaurant downtown and said that she had a horrible experience with Nebraska fans last night. She mentioned they were all drunk and acting like assholes and none of them tipped well at all. I thought their fans were supposed to be classy? Maybe they are just jealous because they saw what a real town looks like. Bacon & Eggs are coming up next, Go Blue!!!

I like most of those picks except for the first two.

I don't have a good feeling on Tennesse or Vanderbilt. I feel like Tennessee should be better than Vanderbilt but Vandy has played a lot of good teams very close. That one I just wouldn't play, not that I necessarily think you're wrong.

But I don't know how you can bet on Illinois even with the 14.5 points. What have they done recently to be worthy of your trust? I think Wisconsin is going to win by 20+ points.

Up three units f or the day:

Illinois +14.5 WIN
Tennessee +1.5 WIN
Eastern Michigan +3 LOSS
Texas -7.5 LOSS
Florida International +1.5 WIN

The Wolverines played their best 3 phases of football of the season. What a joy to watch. I hope these guys top it next week with TSIO.

GO BLUE!

Hell yes! I just landed a free ticket last night so I can actually go. I'll be there blotting out as much red as possible and making the noise of ten thousands wolverines. 2 mile walk to the Stadium... Commence!

I'm at work about to listen to Manchester City Newcastle. After that game I will be following our game on the computer until noon when I am done.

Love the children's show discussion. My son is 3 and loves anything train related, Barney, Yo Gabba Gabba (the Jack Black episode keeps me laughing all day long).

Two weeks into new job; wake up at 5 on weekdays, which has altered my body clock.

No kids though, so I probably don't appreciate the freedom to watch EPL, etc... as much as the fathers here would. I'll say I'm not looking forward to those days.

Must be something in the air. Normally I'm never out of bed before 9am on a Saturday, today I woke up at 8 and couldn't go back to sleep. Lets Go Blue!

My 10 year old and I just got up. My GF watches VH1 and then goes to work out. We will alternate between playing catch and watching ESPN/Gameday while half-heartedly trying to feed ourselves until she gets home.

I'm moving to Sioux City in a month. The wife is already there getting the house ready. She took all the furniture except for some stuff I'm selling. I could go to B-Dub's but in doing so, I won't be able to hear the announcer. So what would you do? Go to the bar and eat wings or sit at home and lay on your bed in your a room by yourself.

Really they're very similar to Michigan winters...until you factor in the wind. Last year (my first year out here) there was a day where the wind brought the temp down to -25. It also dumps snow here as opposed to slow & steady when Michigan has big snowfall.

But on the days that the wind isn't out of control, it's very similar to Michigan.

Just pounded a Nantucket Nectars. Now feeling rehydrated enough to go murder a large iced coffee from Dunks. Then gonna pick up a 12 pack and settle in for the game. Go Blue.

Watching the okie st highlights. Why are the goal posts the length they are? Seems to make too much sense to add ten feet and take a judgement call out of the refs hands. Fg looked good to me.

Michigan has lost to ranked teams at home the last five times by an average of 16.6 points. It's like Hoke was a dad away on business. He walks into his house discovering his son has thrown a massive party. There are beer cans and drunk people laying around everywhere. Hoke rolls up his sleeves.
