They do NOT regret not giving Burke a scholarship they said. Crafts the better better player they said....

Omg Yesssssss! I don't even know what to say right now!
Ha I'd love to read VCU'S version of this story
Yes I love everything!
That That would depend on if its an in-home or phone call I'm assuming, no?
Actually The announcers did say it as well. My first reaction was "they're only saying that because thats how coach Hoke referred to him"
My prediction This game mirrors the VT game with same results. Just different score. The defense surprises everyone. 17-14
Is it Is it okay if we bring our linebackers and safties too?
Like You mean like Vincent Smith? Couldn't imagine...
Maybe Maybe it's because I now live in Alabama and get sick to my stomach of hearing how much better the SEC is over everything God created. I would say Bama first, MSU second (because this has to end) and OSU. ND is due for one so I wouldn't be upset at the outcome of that game either way. But those 3 games I want more than anything this year.
Sad Well, there goes the brains in that family.
Ok

What does that even mean? Does he not want Denard to graduate after this year or something?

Beat

Beat Ohio!

Why

Why would you find that odd? Do you know him personally?

I'm going to load up on UM gear just to annoy them right back. Especially around the first game of the season next year...

My feelings are everywhere. I just recently moved to SEC country (AL) and I have a funeral to attend this morning. Not sure how long everything will last so I don't know if I will catch the game, but I wish everyone a safe game day and I will be back later on to celebrate a UM victory with you guys.

Go Blue!

Contain

If we keep contain, we will be fine. I'm not sure what film they watched during the week, but the D almost looked surprised at times. They've had a chance to settle in though and the coaches will make the proper adjustments.

Tough call

I hate ND more but I want Msu to lose. They can't keep choking in the red zone. They just can't.

ND: 37 MSU: 31

They've

They've shown they can give up big plays but so far this year, they've also shown they can make big plays as well. I will wait until B1G season before I say they were better than last year sure. But I have seen small things in these first 2 games that has me feeling positive about the teams direction. If you haven't, fine.

Fair

Fair enough. I agree these kids have been through an awful lot and I just want to see them succeed on the field and also off the field.

When Hoke and the coaching staff was hired, there was an article saying that rich rod told Denard that if he was going to stay, buy in 100% and went on to mention that was a problem that he had when he was hired. That the team didn't buy in 100%. This has also been mention by multiple players during interviews around the time hoke was hired and during spring camp. Do I know every single player that didn't buy in? Of course not. Now you can go find the links for yourself. Also when did I state any of my opinions to be fact? They are opinions just like everyone else who takes the time out to post here. If you disagree with them fine.

Well

Obviously a lot of factors go into a team being successful. Experience is a big part of it as well. A lot of people are taking the "wait and see" approach and thats fine. I was not attacking the old coaching staff, not saying you said I was, but I just feel a little better with this team and the program moving forward with who they have in place right now.

Am I wrong for thinking the team will be better this year or something? Just curious...

What I'm saying is I believe it will carry over into the big ten season this time.

Well creating turnovers for one. Tackling better for two. Playing with a lot more enthusiasm for three. Trusting the coaches and everyone 100% buying into the new staff. I didn't say they were world beaters after 2 games in or that they would be this year for that matter. I'm speaking from the defensive standpoint. They gave up big plays on D but seem to be around the football more as well SO FAR. It's a long season so I guess I will save further judgement until the big ten season rolls around.

Maybe

Just maybe it's because, in this early season, Hoke seems to be getting the most out of the same players that were on the team last year that in everyones opinion, "lacks talent". The effort is there and he has them believing in themselves and they are making plays that, under the last coaching staff they probably wouldn't have made. With better players, some of the plays being call would in fact be "easy" or "easier" to execute.

It made perfect sense to me.

Cool. Thanks!

What did

What did he say this time? I remember last year they said something along the lines of "neither one of them could start for michigan today" and mentioned Denard...

Yes

It should favor Michigan. Especially with a qb like Denard.

Imagine him going PA, the db's scramble to get back in coverage, then Denard takes off in open space. All on a wet field. As a former strong safety, that would be a nightmare.

I hate them simply because they are on the schedule and pose a threat. I couldn't care less about the media overrating them or their annoying fans. It's the team with all that talent that bothers me and we've been pretty fortunete the last couple of years but sooner or later they will figure it out.

Tremendous!

I'm very curious to know why everyone feels like we will lose to ND at home this year.

Let's say their QB doesn't get knocked out this time, but our defense is improved even just a little from last year. Wouldn't that make it even?

Interesting. I'm on my way TO Alabama around the first of September. I will proudly sport that maize n blue. ESPECIALLY around early september next year.

My thoughts exactly

Indeed. I accidentally broke

Indeed. I accidentally broke a glass table as soon as I heard "TOUCHDOWN MANNINGHAM!" (yeah I was covering my eyes. Too scared to watch)

The msu and Fla games KIND OF made up for it that year. The next 3 years tested my fan loyalty, but I'm still here!

This is a tad bit embarrasing

This is a tad bit embarrasing but I almost cried after the Appy St. game. I was in complete shock. Watching video clips of other teams celebrate as the last field goal attempt was blocked made me want to throw up.

That game cut deeper than any of my own highschool games or any other teams I support. I'm not a UM alum so the only time I use the term "us" or "we" is when I'm arguing with someone from out of state. Especially OSU fans.

Weight

A few people felt that maybe Denard should put on a few pounds during the off season, but wouldn't running track affect that somewhat? I'm sure with him not running track this year he will still be the fastest guy on the field.

Furman to offense?

Any chance of Furman switching back to offense? With the way Hoke is recruiting more natural linebackers, I don't recall Furman ever playing DB before, I figured he would be a nice combo of size and speed at RB. Maybe Hopkins moves to FB? Just a thought....

Excited

Very excited about this young group of linebackers for the future.  I would like to see MRob at SS. I know Kovacs was the starter for the last 2 years but I figured by them all learning a new defensive scheme for the first time that Mrob's size and athleticism would maybe push him ahead. Carvin at FS seems like a better fit.
