Rivals Video: Practice Day 2
http://rivals.yahoo.com/video/player-highlights-football/Michigan/U-M-f…
Still can't figure out why they don't bring a better video camera, still great to see the action though.
You have truly made my evening.
Vincent Smith looks fast..
I thought it was just me, but I'm glad others noticed it as well. Fully healed up and ready to chase jackrabbits through the muck!
...noticed that Smith looked electric. He also seemed to get a ton of first team reps. With such a small practice sample, that could be coincidence. He is similarly sized to the guy SDSU started last year. hmm...
Vincent is 8 pounds lighter than last year. No wonder he looks so sprightly! Whether or not he starts, he's my bet to be the leading RB for total yardage rushing & receiving
so upsetting that the video is blocked outside the USA.
GO BLUE!
Maybe just in Canada, I'm in Mexico and I could see the whole thing, maybe a proxy?
working here in Canada
Vincent Smith does look good, I think I'm changing my mind about him. Jacquizz Rodgers is very successful at Oregon State, and Vincent Smith reminds me of him. Talk about a change of pace between Hopkins and Smith. It's nice to have a variety.

Vincent Smith looks awesome! Holy Crap. All Big Ten for sure.

Respect that Tupac pic as well.
Great to see that the QB Iso was being worked on, hopefully that means the "QB play-action huh oh" is still around as well. Also great to see Vincent Smith looking very fast as others have said.
Was that taken with a shoe cam? Lot so shotgun. Assuming they knew the show-cam was there and they are trying not to show much. Mattison tore up our D with the 12 yard hook route.
I'm not sure if there was any concern with him and the other two suspensions, but I did not see him in any of the RB drills or lines.
1:42. #38.
Wasn't that Rawls wearing 38 in the second RB rep shown?
Yes.
Mark Snyder quote on Thomas Rawls:
"Though the players weren’t in pads, the workout was physical. On a carry up the middle, freshman tailback Thomas Rawls appeared to be down but kept running, with four defenders, hanging on him. Rawls stood out, looking as thick and powerful as any tailback."
That's what I like to hear, buttsnake.
I think they are supposed to hag on to the runner but not bring him down so that doesn't say much.....
Have you ever ran with four people (big ones, too) hanging on you?

What does that have to do with anything? I'm not trying to downplay his skills, I'm just saying the defenders aren't trying to tackle him, they're just supposed to get to him and hang on as he runs through their "tackle". It teaches the rb to run through contact. I'm just saying they couldn't have seen him dragging four tacklers because no one is tackling yet.
Denard handin the rock off to Cox, get used to that. And did any1 else notice J.T changed his number to 8? Wonder why.
You are mistaken. #3 handed off to Cox
Because Roundtree is playing both ways.

and with Mouton gone, it's now available.
3:03, did they say "beat ohio"? I know they mentioned they end huddles with it but u goto love to see it
They did!
So did Denard only hand off to Smith? I think that is all that I saw.
That video was of the quality of streaming porn from the old days. Ahhh....memories
OMG DID YOU SEE THOSE HIGH KNEES?! I THINK HE COULD BE AN ALL-BIG TEN GUY BEFORE HIS TIME IS OVER!
Kind of a strange placement for that comment...
It was hard to get a feel for what was taking place and who might have been best. Looking forward to some of the longer stuff on MGoBlue.com. The passing and RB drills are always my favorite. Helps to get a better feel for where everyone is.
Triple option from the 'gun at about 3:35.
Wow really good spot on that. You're right. I didn't notice it at first view b/c Denard keeps it, but, watching it again you can tell he's holding the ball in a way that he could pitch or keep, and kinda looking to his right until he decides to keep.
Man video quality on this is terrible.
Makes me wonder if this is unauthorized footage taken on a hidden cam.... (Because I can get higher quality video on my laptop's built-in webcam, and I refuse to believe Rivals couldn't afford a better camera than that. A hidden video camera, however, will capture lower quality, even if it's a good one.)
If it is, I hope we shut that shit down pronto. I like seeing things, but, I'd take backc Fort Schembechler in exchange for giving up things like this, if it means things that should be kept secret actually stay secret. (keep in mind, this video was "highlights", inferring that it doesn't include all the footage they captured.)
I have a sony bloggie that takes crystal clear video at it cost me about $150. Something is not right with the way this video was shot.

Rivals is cheap as hell, that's all it really says.. Like you said, you can get quality video with lots of small camera's these days.. Hell my gopro fits in the palm of my hand and that records in HD.. you could easily spy cam that anywhere

the back foot, transfering to thte front foot - they taught that at the youth technique school as well.
It will be interesting to see how the drill where they swarm to the ball pans out in a game.
Vincent Smith has very fast feet ...
